It feels like we need a couple of big signings in the next few days. We haven't replaced Smith and we only really have Tolaj, Stockley and potentially Paton as strikers. We've really only made 3 'new' signings as Richards was part of the squad of last season plus Gordon and Shipley you would think are more squad players.

Plenty of time yet of course but I get the sense that some of our primary targets are holding out for the best deal, as is their perogative. I'd like to think that Moore would want most of his squad in place by the end of next week and then add some loans later in the window.

Possibly, but the conversation would be, I’d like to keep earning 15k a week, which would make it a rather short one you’d think. 

At the very least you’d think he would want 6k plus a week and I personally don’t think he is worth a big wage to a league 1 club these days. Even if we wanted to pay him big money, I think there are better ways to spend it than on a player who hugely underwhelmed last season, even if his prior reputation is strong. 

 

And Gabriel 

Yeah, I included Gabriel in the count but see him as a starter rather than a squad player. I'd say he's the only nailed on starter that we have signed.

Not sure where Bannan will end up but those offered deals by Sheff Wed should be looking elsewhere imo if they want to get paid on a regular basis

Sure I've seen that Wrexham have been linked with Bannan.

(along with Tom Cairney.....and also Paul Pogba! 🥴 🤣 )

Huddersfield are signing some decent players this window,just signed Murray Wallace from Millwall,it is certainly going be a tough league next season
