God, our socials admin deserves a raise. 😆

I'm surprised Mitch has stayed on, I was convinced otherwise and I wasn't at all concerned whether he was staying or not. But it's one less position to worry about now.

Sam Hart is the weakest at our back line now though and I'm sure there's still much focus in recruitment on improving defence and GK.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next, hopefully we have somebody else in by end of play Friday.

Well you seem to think the rwb we just signed is replacement for our rcb so I was wondering if you think our lwb will be playing lcb.

Its pretty clear from everything Ive read especially from people who have seen him play that Gabriel is a straightforward rwb Ive been trying to understand why you are literally the only person who thinks that A) he is a rb and B) he will be playing rcb and also why you would describe a rwb who as far as I can tell has never actually played as a rcb as an upgrade on debrah who is a proper centre back who has played rcb ccb and lcb in his time here.

Im sensing a bit of debrah hating.

A) he is described as a RB on the net

B)I’ve never said he has been signed as a RCB, I merely said he could possibly play in either positon as he has been described as a RB on the net

Im sensing someone who clearly doesn’t understand what I questioned and coming up with some right bull sh1te

Style of play

edit

Lawrence-Gabriel plays primarily at right-back, though he can also play at left-back if needed.[42] He can also fill in at centre-back on the right side of a back three.[40] An attacking full-back, he likes to take on opponents with his pace, get forward and provide crosses.[40]

Apology accepted.

We been linked with this guy? Not sure from that vid. Looks like what we thought we were getting with Paton. We need some real pace in that front line for me. And he doesn’t look like hes that type and sadly Paton look like his legs have been set on concrete what bits we have seen.

Well I thought Gareth of all people would know, he's probably been camped outside his house since the end of the season, asking him if he's signing a new deal every time he goes to buy a pint of milk.

Interesting. Where's the source we are linked to him?

Personally glad Clark is staying. I think Moore may play someone who is more of a fullback in the back 3. He used John, Sang and Hart in that role last season. Clark and Gabriel have played that role in the past. If he doesn't intend playing that way the squad does look a little too heavily weighted at fullback. It's quite hard to read whether his preference is 3 big centrehalves or 2 and someone who is more of a fullback. He played both ways almost equally. Sometimes injury was forcing his hand. Even when it wasn't there was no clear pattern.

He currently has 3 old fashioned tall centrehalves. He'll clearly bring in one more experienced player who can play that role. I think he may the go for more of a hybrid player rather than a 5th. Moore took a long time to make his mind up about Kyle John. He became a player he wanted on the field when fit. My gut feeling is he's planning to start the season with John at right centrehalf and two bigger players. If that is the case Matty Pearson would be a good option for us as he can play centrally or on the left of a 3. I still think he's more likely to end up at Bradford though.

Dead chuffed to see Mitch re-sign.

Looking forward to the new faces coming in. As with Byers, et el, last season, I have a feeling we're in for one or two very nice surprises.

Remember, they can not play the same position at the same time🙂
