There are some decent names on there tbf and like with a lot of their transfers they seem to flunk as soon as they get to play there,he has dealt with some big clubs when sorting out players so that could be a big help where loans are concerned

Has his appointment been officially announced as I cant find confirmation as yet and he seems to have a big reputation to drop to our level and i would guess he wont come cheap

Can I just point out that I’m behind everything that Big D does & I have welcomed Lee on board.

He’s been at some really great clubs,

apart from Stoke, and it will be good for him to be a success here to ram it down those lot down the road’s throats.

I guess it rules out Nathan Lowe signing

We might get a chance with Micheal Rose if Lee has a relationship?

That's an interesting one.... he didn't have anything to do with him going there but like you say if they got to know each other then who knows, stoke fans didn't rate Rose I dont think but you would think he would be decent for a league one team with his experience and only 29,he might hope to stay in the Championship though

Won the League One title with Coventry

I take it that he is a permanent appointment and not just helping DM out

Presumably, he's got the title of Senior Head of Recruitment. DM knows him from his time at WBA.

I agree with others about Lee . Judge him on the Vale not his short lived tenure at a basket case of a club.

As a side  issue with Stoke you can actually make a team of 11 players who Stoke bought in who then left and went on to win promotion to the PL or at least reach the playoffss with another club . That tells you something … recruitment hasn’t been the issue.

Was chief analyst at WBA with DM, then went to Burnley as Chief analyst.

Then head of recruitment at Norwich and Hull… was considered for the DoF role at Wolves but ended up at the <ovf censored> show down the road before being sacked by Walters when Robins came in.

Now that is very impressive.

And for his first gift…Nathan Lowe

Not sure how far our scouting network stretches currently but i would guess he will have contacts abroad,it would be good for us if we can utilise an overseas scouting network a bit like Rudge did with Holland BUT I also dont mean a smurf like one where we bring in players from Kazakhstan league 4
I watch that league. Some quality players

Delap, Jack Clarke , Harewood-Bellis, Philogene, Rowett. Indeed Campbell was deemed crap but finished top scorer at Sheff United.

All  so- called failures at Stoke, all cast aside as crap.

Stoke are a car crash and have continued to be such under Robins.

the Blackpool fans on here would suggest he is an excellent right back. Assume he had been played out of position at CB previously for them judging on the comments

Yes, this is what I’ve said but the discussion evolved from whether Moore uses him as a RWB as most on here seemed to think or RCB as I said could happen as it is unlikely that Moore changes our formation to a flat back 4.

That’s a hell of a lot of signings in such a short timeframe.

Watching a decent 17 year old blond lad on telly tonight. Might be able to get him in for a bit of experience.
