Eh? Lost me. Headley will be playing as a LWB In a 3-5-2.

Well you seem to think the rwb we just signed is replacement for our rcb so I was wondering if you think our lwb will be playing lcb.

Its pretty clear from everything Ive read especially from people who have seen him play that Gabriel is a straightforward rwb Ive been trying to understand why you are literally the only person who thinks that A) he is a rb and B) he will be playing rcb and also why you would describe a rwb who as far as I can tell has never actually played as a rcb as an upgrade on debrah who is a proper centre back who has played rcb ccb and lcb in his time here.

Im sensing a bit of debrah hating.

That was a while ago (Jacobs). Compared to past managerial setups at the Vale I haven’t a scooby who our coaching team are. In the past though it was fairly well known / spoken about. Maybe it’s just me.

Who is on the coaching staff?

DM ... manager

Jacob's... coach

Gary Walsh... goalkeeping coach

And yet I think midfield is probably our strongest area based on the current squad.

Picking 3 starters from Croasdale, Byers, Garrity and Walters is a nice problem to have.
I’d only be looking at add a Premier League loan players to that and I’d be happy.

Striker, Defence and GK is where my focus would be.

I agree we have a decent looking midfield but we don't want to be relying on loans again it bit us on the backside last time just like it bit smalsall last season if we could rely on byers and garrity to stay fit fair enough but both of them have struggled to stay fit recently and byers in particular was a miss because we don't have another playmaker type midfield player in the squad so when he doesn't play we have very little creativity in the middle. I think at the very least we need to sign someone else who can see a pass and I would rather they were permanent because I can see them playing more games than byers.

I think we need at least two centre backs because we didn't really strengthen that area last season apart from bringing hall back so I think defence is a priority along with a younger stockley type striker. Other than that I don't mind a few loans to play the micky mouse cup and early rounds in the other cup competitions and as impact subs.

What about Jamie Smith ?

Bradbury is a loss. Was always impressed we had an ex-manager with hundreds of games under his belt as a coach.

Confident in the club to make the right moves.

Hes buggered off!😁

Wheres the kitchen? Whats a kitchen? It gets worse!😱

Bradford have signed Curtis Tilt from Salford

Bradford have signed Curtis Tilt from Salford
I think Bradford might struggle... one of their best midfielder has left them too. Tilt is not someone who I would be happy about signing.

Play offs???!!!

We've only just gone up!

I'd settle for 15th right now!

You think dm and Carol want 15th? I'm guessing they want to replicate stockport and wrexhams succes

That would take a lot of dosh.  My guess is their target will be top ten.

Must be honest mate I'm genuinely struggling to recall any one on one's against Amos.

He probably made 3 big mistakes. Carlisle 3rd goal where he stood rooted instead of coming for the ball as it was in the air for an eternity. Also didn't cover himself in glory against Grimsby for the Rose header. And Tranmere away was Ripley-esque.

He made a magnificent save at Doncaster away at 0-0, likewise decent saves at Crewe at 0-0. Also saved us from an incredibly nervy 5 mins had Bradford scored the penalty.

Amos is a steady eddy,  6/10 to 7/10 most weeks. Nothing fancy no frills.

Ripley for me is a better keeper but less reliable, no middle ground, he was a 3/10 or a 9/10.

Certainly felt safer and more assured with Amos in the goal.

It wouldn't surprise me if we went for a new keeper but if he's in goal come August he's no Ryan Boot or Chris Martin.

I could be wrong but I’m thinking possibly a couple of 1 v 1’s that he came out on top of?  1 v Crewe away?? Another at home?  By one on one I’m not thinking a situation where the player ran from the half way line, rather just the keeper to beat and Amos has come out to make the save.  As stated, I could be dreaming.  Someone will know.

You can cross Ihiekwe off your shopping lists, fingers crossed this wasn't the reason we turned our back on Smith and they've got something else up their sleeve.

That being said, 3 year deal for a 32 year old is barmy.
