I'm not 100% sure this is more than guesswork.  He's with the same agency as Curtis,  Stockley and Byers. Normally leaks come from agents and there wasn't a peep about those signings. If there is something in it more likely it's come from a club he turned down. Hughes said in a press conference a few days ago that he thought he had a good enough relationship with Harris and Dennis that they would talk to Carlisle if there was firm interest elsewhere and also see if the offer could be improved.  They've just signed Linney for a reported 250k, have Charlie Wyke, Armstrong and Georgie Kelly under contract. If there's anything in it I'd guess it's come from someone at Carlisle. I can't see any of those 4 Carlisle forwards being 5th choice in The National League. They certainly haven't paid a decent fee for Linney to sit on the bench.

How is a right wing back an upgrade on a centre back?  I'd think it more likely he is either a replacement for clarke or a mahoosive upgrade on sang.

According to Twitter,Mitch Clark has signed a 2 year deal

For me if we can somehow pull off signing Ihiekwe as well as Gabriel it will improve us massively defensively from last season and from when we were last in League One

I am chuffed with our first signing! Great if Mitch signs would love him to stay.

We will and can pay more than all of those teams when and if we want to,maybe it is length of contract with Mitch or we wont pay what he would like or we might even want clauses in regarding injuries...who knows but it certainly wont be down to not being able to pay more if we wanted

I cannot see a world where Mitch Clark signs a contract to be second choice wing-back on either side - and in competition with John to be on the bench.

To be honest with this I can see why Notts wouldn’t extend themselves to keep him. Aging and injury prone not a great mix. MK the link is clear though, he played under Warne very successfully at Derby and they are very minted.
