Tickets - season tickets, loyalty points, matchday tickets etc

Featured Replies

Well on a more positive note, having paid for a car park season ticket,  I have just received a parking pass qr code for the Bolton game tomorrow and added it to Google wallet.

The email stated that this is only for the Bolton game and the correct QR code for the season will be sent before the Tranmere home game.

For anyone else who is worrying about their qr code before the season starts.

Well my Dad decided to take his old BSA and sidecar out for a ride to VP. I told him it would probably be the ticket office round the corner of the shop he'd need to visit.

Apparently not. Everything now goes through the shop and there was one big queue for people buying stuff as well as tickets.

An 84 year old standing for an hour and half wasn't a pleasant experience. Anyway he got his ticket for the car park and then tried to set off home.

Bike wouldnt start. Tried loads of things. Lady from the shop bought him a drink out. Then he needed a wee so the chaps doing work at VP let him use theirs. Called Green Flag who told him his breakdown was invalid for his bike as its over 16 years old. (Who knew this little trick?!). He eventually got hold of his classic bike insurer who arranged a lorry. This was going to be about 5 hours later at 7pm. Anyway the workers at VP spotted him and asked if he was ok. He told them the story. Dad asked if there was a chippy nearby - there was but too far for him to walk so the lads drove him while one looked after his bike.

7pm came and lorry turned up and off they went home.

Bit of a day out to say the least.

Bike problems aside, if this queuing system for tickets is normal its dumb. If you've got elderly people waiting you've got to be more pro-active making sure they are ok to wait that long.

Mate that is a flipping nightmare 🙈🙈🙈

I had the same experience with the "16 rule" a few years back - family package, borrowed dads car to go pick up an armchair (Im so rock n roll) and was left high n dry south of Leicester - thanks Mr Green Flag 👍👍👍

The dumb thing is my Dad doesn't go to the games its for mum and brother. (I will ask why brother didn't just go and do it himself but its all after the fact).

@Bobnewtonian Dad likes a good fight so I think he will vent his anger with Gren Flag and ask them for his premiums back given he told them what vehicles he was insuring - the newest one is an N reg!!

Just been back on the website and it is still saying "Sorry no memberships available for purchase". That's why I asked the question.

You can buy the 1876 membership and get your free ticket for one of the first 7 home.leagje games. You can't get the card though for the membership as that is not ready yet and you have to pay an extra 5 pounds for the card. Also I asked about loyalty points about purchasing a Salford ticket and membership and it not increasing loyalty points total and they said there's a delay on it. They said if it hasnt updated by next week then come back in and we will sort it for you. Last couple of seasons the points were added straight away but this year there's a delay or it's not being added.

It’s a new one on me…. Not sure how they can justify taking his premiums if their own terms and conditions don’t allow them to fulfill their side of the contract. Good luck…. Sorry off topic.
