West Brom’s a good shout with the DM connection as has been said, Derby and Sheff Utd might be one’s too that might bring a few away fans (might even bring in more income than playing Crawley et al during the season).

Yes! Sheffield united with the Arblaster connection, we did well for them with him. They owe us one!!!!

We were woefully under-prepared for last season and the transfer shenanigans were abysmal. 

Olly A and, later, Alfie D, carried us through to Christmas. 

I'm really looking forward to seeing who we bring in over the summer and who the pre-season friendlies are against. 

I always enjoy Kidsgrove and, if I'm able to go, Newcastle. We clearly need six or seven friendly games, including L2, L1 and, hopefully, Championship opposition. 🤞

The preseason at Spain, over the last two years, see.ed to disrupt the momentum of signing players. I'm pretty sure Arblaster flew over to join the team in Spain. Its almost like Vale thought theyvwere better than they really were. Probably Flitcroft decision to go to Spain.

We only played 4 friendlies last summer. Kidsgrove and Newcastle town both on the same day so players won't have featured in both games. Then Grimsby whilst out in Spain and the Doncaster away friendly defeat a week before the season starts. I'm hoping we have 6 friendlies this time. The normal kids grove and Newcastle town games, then 2 home games against league one or championship opposition then 2 friendlies away at national League sides maybe Halifax and Oldham, something along them lines.

Don’t see the point in that. Costs associated with putting a game on would probably result in losing money. And it’s a good money spinner for Newcastle town as the attendance is above what they get for an average gate. Also nice to be able to have a pint whilst watching.
