It’s relevant because if there are players who we are not getting value out of, then there are many many others who should face to same criticism. Such as Conor Grant. Who we still have a year to pay.

Of course its relevant.

Wilson is out of contract at the end of the season. Let him go because of how poor is playing & goalscoring records been over the past 2 seasons.

How is that not relevant?

In technical terms, one of our better technical footballers. But a forward should be judged on goals and assists, of which he has done nowhere near enough in the past 2 seasons. He looks like he has all the ability in the world, but if you don't utilise it effectively then you're a waste of a player. He seems to have lost the drive that he had with us in league 2. Maybe injuries and low confidence have played a part?

Whatever the reason, we need 2, maybe 3 forwards who have a significant impact on either assists or goals. We just can't carry him anymore.

Had it not been for injury he would be playing at a higher level. I agree we can't carry injury prone players and it remains to be seen what happens this summer window.

I would imagine that's him done at the Vale now unfortunately, despite the "but I’ll keep working and hope to see you all next season". Maybe a PAYP contract if we do get relegated as he's a class above at that level but his injury record is awful.

My favourite player and played an enormous and vital part in getting us to league 2. Has generally been a joy to watch for skill factor and vision. One of the most technically gifted players ever at Port Vale and I've been going for over 50 years! I know he hasn't been able to make such an impact recently, but I would keep him on another short term contract
