Understand the frustration but I think in this case it's to show that he's no longer seen as a fringe player. Sam Hart as 42 seems odd but perhaps a significant number for the player.

He’s wore the 42 at Southend, Shrewsbury, Southend again & also at Sutton. Definitely a preference
