Chris Killen was also very good imo another who i think was hit by injuries during his career and who can forget David Lowe in his 2 spells

David Lowe was a tidy loan player too.

Kevin Scott was a great centre half and classy. Think when rudgey signed him on loan we went on a decent run and we stayed up. Not sure why we didn’t sign him unless it was down to money. But a very good player.

It depends, id argue harratt had a decent loan and he wasnt recalled, if the team is chasing promotion like we should be this season they will lean to keeping him for the experience but yea theres never any guarantee.

Difference was mate Harratt came in January his debut was Fa cup 3rd round if I recall correctly.

Ah another good striker who the fans mostly funded through the buy a player fund 15k wasn't it?

My favourite Vale player ever. I put my pocket money in the collection buckets to sign him. Maybe your memory as a kid makes something more of it but I can still remember watching in amazement how Beefy would hang high in the air so long. Him and Futch were a hell of a pairing.

The buy a player fund proved to be a major turning point in the fortunes of the club.

No luck involved mate. Ask @MBE how much he owes me for his winning numbers 😂 I’ll go Kyle John to finally sign tomorrow 👀

Highly successful loan players goes back in Jan.

Poor loans who are bench warmers or even struggle to get in the match day squad get sent back in Jan.

Bang average loan player contributes here and there but nothing great you get to keep all season.

Great loan system. 👍

Also loans that are on the bench and not getting much game time are called back by their parent club (and probably sent somewhere better for the second half of the season). Even though Jensen Weir didn't seem to get too much appreciation here last year, you were a great improvement on Blackpool (you must have been; if you'd been as bad a loan as Blackpool you wouldn't be getting BBB!)

The only reason I can see why Weir is even at Brighton is because of his old man. Was a massive flop for us

They don’t always get called back though in January; some do some don’t. So until anything else happens it is a season long loan. That’s the deal. Not sure why that bothers you so much to be honest 😂

he has obviously borrowed Granvilles Mr Grumpy Pants today 😍😍😍

luv you our Granville 🥰😘😍😍😍

No press release yet and Phil Bowers’ interview not airing until 6 might imply that there’ll be a 5pm announcement?
