Not sure Ollie & Alfie had made a premier league appearance before they joined? Ollie has since I don’t believe Devine has at all, I could be wrong on that one though but they both proved to be very good players in league 1. This kid made 5 premier league appearances last season. He will destroy league 2 defenders & those big lumps have to get near him first mate. And after he’s ripped the league to shreds he will get called back in January & break all our hearts 😂

First time to say it this season "never fall in love with a loan player" 💓 😍❤️❤️‍🩹

He doesn’t come across as someone who will connect with the fans like Ollie did. As talented as Arblaster is & was for us what I really liked about him was he’s so level headed for such a young age & he really took to the fans. He loved it here. I sense a little bit of arrogance with Benicio & can’t see him being as close to the fan base like Ollie was but I hope I’m proved wrong. Seems the sort who just does his talking on the pitch. Ollie was very grateful to be at Port Vale & he said it a few times how much this club meant to him. Some youngsters at big clubs won’t feel that way & maybe think they are bigger & better a bit like Alfie Devine I thought at times but Arblaster is a special kid & a great human being

Always? Not really (Brighton fan in peace here) - we had 20+ loanees out last season, highest number of them was in The Championship, but also Leagues 1 and 2, the SPL, the Bundesliga, the Eredivisie and the Belgian Pro League. These decisions are obviously taken by people at the club who are better at gauging where the optimum level is for each player than we are. Sometimes, TBF, we are surprised, but also TBF, a few of you have decided this loan is a bit of a coup for you.

They've decided League 2 for BBB for now, so fair enough? Good luck to him (and you lot) for the season. Oh, and by the way, there are big lumps in League 1 and the Championship too - they're just faster!

Have we got a real talent here pal? What level would you rate him at right now?

I cannot remember anyone saying that when we signed Ray Walker or Tony Sealy on loan ! Time to recognize how useful loan signings can be if used properly if strengthening a squad and as long as you are not building your team around them !!!

You mean the Ray Walker we bought for 12k. When was the last time Vale bought a Premier loanee? when?

Arrogance is the last thing the dressing room needs.

Why does that matter? Can’t you just be grateful we’ve spent quite a bit on 10 permanent signings which would have been a fair whack in wages too instead of trying to have a dig at the club for bringing in a great prospect on loan? Just any old reason to slag Vale off! You wonder why people call you a knob head 🙄

Arrogant as in cocky within his own ability. Another word confident but with an edge to him. Ffs 🤦‍♂️ It’s no coincidence the best players in the world are incredibly arrogant

One thing is for sure, I still have no idea what Flitcroft was actually doing in his DOF role as if anything we have been more effective with signings than before.

I think Its a big change in how the club is perceived . Last season we were seen a relegation fodder , with a unproven manager and a known DOF who was average at best, that made recruitment haphazard . This season we seen as a big fish , with promotion prospects and a marquee manager , this equates to players wanting to come to us . Long may this continue

I'm not going to go against the experts that decided to place him here! They (usually!) know what they're doing - I don't!  He was very good in PL2, but TBH, he didn't set the world alight in five very short cameo appearances in the PL - but there again, it's difficult to turn a match round in 2 or 3 minutes, so I wouldn't hold that against him.

If you want an armchair fan's opinion (albeit one who watches the U21s on stream) who doesn't see the lad in training or have anything like the depth of information that the professionals in the case have, I'd have gone for League 1 if that helps (which of course it doesn't!)

Messi isn't arrogant. Most of the Spanish team weren't when they beat England.

Take a leaf.

Disappointing that Vale have yet again gone for a loanee

I thought we had seen the end to this Feeder Premier club nonsense

Don't worry Bill, it's like when we took Keith Lowe on loan from Wolves when you were here.
