Just look at all the places that a footballer playing for Port Vale could live within a 45 - 60 minute radius of Vale Park like Cheshire and Manchester for example.

Or Staffordshire, most of which is beautiful.

I would imagine Vale is an easy sell geographically. In the interview I did with Matt Hancock (plug there for an article on the front page if you haven't seen it) the club are encouraging players to live closer to the club, but as others have said - it's a relatively short commute to Vale Park from several beautiful areas you can live in.

Down here in the SW I was reading about Truro City, now managed by John Askey. He was talking about their problems in attracting players and I would imagine there's loads of clubs - Carlisle, Plymouth, Exeter to name three - who as outliers geographically have to work really hard to convince players to move. In comparison, Vale should be relatively easy.

Was trying to think who our new signing reminded me of. It's the robber from Only fools and horses.

Potentially.

This may cause a little bit of controversy but I'm not a fan of Stoke on Trent or Staffordshire.

I left many years ago and never plan to move back.

I do not even enjoy visiting Stoke on Trent for a day or even a Vale game. That is me being totally weird though.

On the flip side, there's a lot more choice of clubs for players within a 90 minute drive of our club.

He doesn’t come across as someone who will connect with the fans like Ollie did. As talented as Arblaster is & was for us what I really liked about him was he’s so level headed for such a young age & he really took to the fans. He loved it here. I sense a little bit of arrogance with Benicio & can’t see him being as close to the fan base like Ollie was but I hope I’m proved wrong. Seems the sort who just does his talking on the pitch. Ollie was very grateful to be at Port Vale & he said it a few times how much this club meant to him. Some youngsters at big clubs won’t feel that way & maybe think they are bigger & better a bit like Alfie Devine I thought at times but Arblaster is a special kid & a great human being

I have seen this week, people have a pop at how Darren Moore on how he talks and now how a 20 year old talks.

I'm not bothered how they talk on the radio or in front of a camera, just so long that they can do a job.

You have seen how bad my grammar isand my speech is not any better but that does not stop me from having my very own successful company.

I can identify with every word of that post until you said you don’t enjoy being there for a Vale game. Yeah that’s a tad weird 😂 I moved away for personal reasons to better my life & the only time I go back is to see family & watch Vale. Hate the surrounding areas but once I’m in that ground I’m home. Can’t wait get out & on my travels come 90mins mind 😂

Who’s having a pop? I dislike the bullying of Darren Moore from some fans, that’s what it is. Taking the piss out of how he speaks. I feel the new kid is slightly arrogant. I could be wrong but it wasn’t in a negative way. I’m all for a bit of arrogance & cockiness on the pitch. It’s nothing to do with how the new loanee talks it’s more his demeanour & from what ive seen on his video clips showboating his skills. Once again I don’t mind that either

No, you're not wrong, except the Vale thing. Family are the problem in my case.

I did not say you were having pop although I quoted you 😁

I read a few people on here having a little bit of a dig on here at Big D over the weekend or a bit of fun of how he talks.

Then you mentioning the lad that we signed yesterday just reminded me to say something about it
