Wonder why Fleetwood released him at the end of last season. (wages?)

Assume to do with wages as they seem to have shifted a lot of their high earners on from last January onwards and are trying to rebuild a new squad.

Was he out of contract or has he cost a fee,as he was listed as still at Fleetwood?

That's the big CB crossed off now anyway, just a full back and wide player to go now anything over that is then a bonus

He was one of two released mate.

We can bring in one more over 21 year old (Kyle John is 23..) before hitting the squad size limit and having to ship out to bring more in.

It does reading Fleetwood's facebook fan group (they don't have a forum) - Lots of positive comments over the last few months about his height and strength (tick, tick) but on the other hand lots of stuff about him being on the slow side.

It's ok because Smith can cover that ...oh I mean ermmm Hall can cover that ..... oh

Seriously though I dont see that as a big issue,he is dominant in the air and that's just what we needed, although we do now need full backs with pace

Should be a good addition in league 2 👍🏻

Watching his interview at the end he talks about being an organiser at the back. Something we have undoubtedly lacked. I sense he might possibly be vice-captain to Ben Garrity (assuming he gets the armband).

Yep, exactly what I wanted at centre half, a great big <ovf censored> to shrug off all the L2 clodhopping centre forwards. Perfect.

Agree with you about the full backs.

Says he knows about 5 of the current lads. Byers & Stockley will be two obviously

What it does mean is that he will now have to fight for his place like all of the others and thats great for the club imo

Just my opinion but hopefully with a renewed fire in him to go and compete for his spot. The days of him being guaranteed a place in the starting XI (or anyone for that matter) may be over now. Could be the best thing to happen to him.
