I also recall Moore saying how they needed to consider whether we could fully use the size of vale park pitch to our benefit. The squad now is beginning to give us home and away options to meet specific challenges positively

Heneghan will likely need time to get up to speed / fitness so suspect he will be cover to start with but wouldn’t surprise me to see him and Hall as the first choice partnership as the season progresses.

I would love us to use the full length and width of vale park to really stretch away teams and tire them. We have to use our home advantages. Size matters!

Type of defender we are lacking but a bit like the Hall signing for me…meh.

Looks to me like we’ve spent handsomely in midfield and attacking areas and are counting on us to score more than the opposition. 

I’m happy with that approach after the dull football over the past season.

I was surprised that heneghan said he had been waiting a couple of weeks for the deal to be announced and he was frustrated to have had to watch his teammates on internet. Makes you wonder what the signing process is and why we would have trialists playing and training but not players signed and awaiting well whatever?

You can imagine the torment opposition centre halves will have with us refreshing the attack with the options we now have. They won't sleep the night before the match.

You don’t spend 17 years at Everton if you haven’t got something about you. Been close to breaking in the first team that’s maybe a reason why he’s not been sent on loan. And possibly clinging onto hopes he can make the breakthrough which he obviously hasn’t . Everton don’t seem to loan too many of their youngsters out either. Sometimes this type of player just needs a chance, I’d rather us take a chance & if it doesn’t work then so be it. Not every transfer this window will be a success. There is always January and Next Summer to complete the process. A couple of loans to be added yet. Would not expect more than 2 additions for now.
