Would prefer the Baath signing tbh, we’ve made some bostin signings but imo the defence is the weak link.

Wilks played Left of a front 3 for Wednesday but also looks like he played on the right as well in his career!

Not going to happen on the basis all our signings bar Paton we were never linked with the player. They have all been a very nice surprise.

I have no doubt we will strengthen the defence as well.

I would LOVE Wilks… but with some big names after him I can’t see it unfortunately. You never know though!!!!

I'd tend to disagree on that one. If you look back at the keeper issues we'd had in the previous years then Ripley has been a marked improvement. He still has an error in him and his form dipped at the end of last season (but most of the squad did too) but his penalty saving ability is a plus as is the fact that he's more reliable than the half dozen keepers who pulled on the shirt before he arrived. He also wasn't helped last season by an awful defence in front of him. 

I personally think he'll be fine for what is hopefully a successful season coming up...

Yeah Moore signed him for Wednesday, but it was Grant McCann that signed him for Donny.

He wasn't there plus he didn't play v Coventry ,if your main player which  he is you'd expect him play at least one half .

He didn't play by that I'm gathering there's being a offer for him .

Hopefully I'm.wrong but putting g 2 and 2 together and coming up with a theory he is off

Thought it was McCann but not sure if he still played under Moore during his reign at Doncaster or not

Has Unofficial Vale's track record been that good lately? Don't they just post rumours from other sites?

Aaron Donnelly on loan to try and shift one of Smith or Hall for a start? Played the full second half of last season at Dundee after injury for the first half. Probably improved quite a bit in the year since we had him.

No tar, looked a bit lightweight & didn’t do great did he. He may have improved like you say but rather not go back there. Although he is only 21, nobody was sad to see him leave & after the business so far I’d expect us to be looking a bit higher than Donnelly
