No thanks,we are improving the team right now, lets not look back

So you would say the right side of defence has being improved.

I'd say it's the same as last season .

Sang or Clark

Debrah or Smith or Lowe .

Clark injured mostly other 4 one paced abiet it Debrah and he is more uncomfortable on ball than other 3 .

Sang defensively well let's just say it's not his strong point

Lowe is steady but shouldn't be first choice .

Smith is a part of unmovable furniture ,strong v big lumps but suspect at being in right place at right time .

That right side got us relegated as much as left need to improve it big style obviously not with Donnelly as he is left footed .

It's no good having 8 of the 11 being superb but other 3 letting players go and playing folk onside .

Moores biggest recruitment will be his right side of defence players .

If Clark gets injured we back to square one again

Definitely, and while we’re shifting Hall, let’s try and unload Tolaj, Paton, Stockdale and Stockley. They’ve done nothing so far and I don’t go with this woke “let’s see what they’re like in August milarkey.

'try and shift one of Smith or Hall for a start' as in he comes in as back up and tries to get a starting place off Smith or Hall if he's improved over the last year.

I'm not even sure what your last sentence means.

I could be wrong, but I think Valiant62 just misinterpreted what you meant i.e. they thought you meant move Smith or Hall out of vale park as opposed to Donnelly coming here to push them for a start in the first 11..... I think the 2nd sentence was purely just another tongue in cheek moment because they misunderstood what you meant.

I said the TEAM we haven't finished yet,we will get better than Donnelly.

I have said many times that we need a right winger and full backs now,I don't think I have said anywhere that the right side has been improved so no idea where you had that from me owd fruit

I’d agree if we were playing in league one still. He’s proven time & time again he’s a really good defender in league two. It’s his level, he’ll be right at home mate

Fair enough fella.

Like I say folk love him.cannot wait jump on the likes of DJones ,Lowe ,Debrah ,G you name it they clap like seals at NS , but cannot wait have a go at others after watching Vale at home last how many years bar Clark end of one season and all the next, the  last ten years  being a major downturn in excitement ,excellence and entertaining football bar the odd season ,he is /has being a major part of that and yes on his day he is excellent,(in my opinion that's 1 in 6 games though)  but not often enough be a defo starter in a team what wants to go automatically back up weekly selected.

People are entitled to there point of view that's mine.

ENOUGH .

The defense still needs more work in this transfer window in my opinion. Smith has been a good servant but i dont care if he goes, jones defo has to go. I am happy with everywhere else.

Your keeping Jason Lowe over Smith? Asking for a friend in Alsager

All of this Ripley v. Amos debate ...

It seems to me that Darren is creating fierce competition in every part of the first-team squad.

The logic of parting with Leutwiler and bringing in Amos plays into that theory - if he were bringing in Amos to replace Ripley, the easy way to do so would have been simply to retain Leutwiler and to put Ripley on the transfer list.

Instead, we now have two goalies of an equally high standard, and each one will be pouring in everything he has got to try and secure that starting spot.

Of course they are both good pros and would have given everything anyway, but such keen competition is the best way to squeeze out that extra 10% of performance from each of them.

Last season, Ripley knew he was the guaranteed starter, but this season he certainly doesn't.

To my view, this is more top-class management from Darren.

Bring on the season, can't wait!

If it was up to me there would only be a handful of players from last season, but he will barely play, id still like to see a stronger first team in defense or it revamped. I arent sold on smith and i think vale could get money from him for a good replacement.
