He's improved as a player at Salford since then but still part of a team that finished just outside the relegation zone. I think we can do better.

We never saw the best of Vassell but I quite like him as a player. He was badly played out of position at Vale, quite a few games were at leftback. He was signed of Aspin's plan to play with a back 3 which he then never did. Sol Campbell played him on the right of a back 3. I thought he was outstanding in the game you referred to. He left Macc where he didn't get paid to follow Campbell to Southend. That move got stopped by the FA as they were also in financial trouble.

Silly to respond to some of the baiting by Vale fans. It was out of order to bait him though, it's pretty widely known he suffered from severe depression and also tried to kill himself at least once. He was quite ill for a period at Vale, which was part of the reason he played so few games.

As an option at right centreback in a 3 he's probably better than some of our options. I'd happily do an exchange for Lowe. I don't think he really works in a back 4. As we currently have 6 centrehalves I don't really see us bringing in another. Although Salford didn't do well last season I think he played every game the season before when they reached the playoffs.

I disagree with this. I think we already 2 'target men' types with Loft and Uche. Think we need something different.

Why are we setting on sites on players slightly better than Lowe. Let’s have a bit of ambition and not go for a player who was pretty poor last time out here. Regardless of his situation back then, we really need to start aiming a little higher than Theo vassell.

Different in that one who scores goals would be nice. These 2 players ought to hang their head in shame at their goal tally. Make all the excuses you want but it didn't stop Bailey outscoring you. Top and bottom of it is you are just not good enough guys, stealing a wage.In any other job they would have been sacked for underperformance.
