Would it not just be so they could watch the game from a box at Sixfields?

Possibly, but it looks bad to me. Can’t recall any rival clubs local businesses sponsoring our programme? Although that sort of makes sense.

Mike Baggaley makes a very good point in The Valiant.

We weren’t that bad yesterday - we probably had the better chances against a top-half side who are very strong at home, and if a few tiny things went the other way, we come home with the points. We weren’t even close to being outplayed.

However, such is our plight, we can’t be ‘not bad’. We have to be pretty good if we’re going to stay up.

It’s a poetic shootout between Moore and Clarke. Sommat to do, isn’t it?

That often happens, however after they got their goal our level dipped and frankly we never looked like scoring apart from Chislett and Uche’s one on one.

If that had been a 2-1 or 3-2 defeat I would have felt better about it, but we were as toothless as ever going forward. That means 3 points becomes unlikely in any match as we have seen.

I would agree. I watched it on iFollow and thought we looked half decent, but didn't take our chances. Northampton didn't look up to much but took theirs.

Think Ripley thinks he is peak Manuel Neuer at times...!

Seen the highlights.

First Chislett effort was unfortunately a good save, he did well to get it down to the bottom left.

The second chance where he squared it to a defender to clear without looking where he was passing was woeful.

The turnover for the first goal was equally woeful from Loft. Sang nowhere near his winger, oh you do surprise me. Ripley's off his line to narrow the angle but he sinks to the ground without even sticking an arm out. Horror show allround.

It was a good ball through for Uche and he did well to win it, but then he takes a fairly early snapshot. If he drove into the box a little longer he had Garrity coming up through the centre for a square ball with an open goal.

Sang again for the 2nd. Oh you do surprise me. Seriously, watch it and tell me he doesn't look like a competition winner. His total lack of effort and conviction there was excruciating.

We all have 'off days'!!

Lacovitti was pants. Sang was appalling and was Ojo even on the pitch? I thought Uche did well to get past his man, but he should have smashed that. Loft we need to just basically keep on the bench, he can’t do anything except jog around.

I thought Ojo controlled the game. Everything we did came through Ojo. Faded, but first half I thought he was excellent. Loft and Sang were appalling I agree, as was Weir when he came on (like every game) Plant struggled as well

Sorry if this has already been discussed but... I can't understand the Chislett half-time sub. I'm not saying he was having a brilliant game but he did have two chances and also tracked back for a good saving tackle. It seemed too soon to take him off. Moore said the change was tactical but, for me, Weir did nothing of any note and it would have been better to keep Chislett on for longer than 45 minutes as he's one of the few players who can create something with a moment of skill.

Talking of subs (and again I'm not trying to make anyone into a world beater) but I thought Walters did well - looked confident and made a couple of lovely long range pinged crosses. I hope he does sign a contract as I think he could really flourish with some regular first-team football next season.

I think we all ( include myself here ) got giddy after the two wins.

People rightly pointing out that Cheltenham and Burton are poor. Well guess what so are we.

Only in the realms of fantasy are Vale winning 4 successive home games as a lot of people expect or suggest is possible.

We're a really poor outfit. Runs of 11 and 14 without a win in the same season is staggering and I'm not even sure how we're still in the mix.

I don’t think Moore rates Chislett. He’s been on the bench quite a lot and when selected is always subbed off. Said at half time yesterday it was a crazy sub. Both half time subs made us weaker.

100%. Has missed out on selection or subbed off on a few occasions.

Whatever people's opinions of him he's our 2nd top scorer behind Garrity.

Chislett was left out in previous games. Looks like he isn't getting on with Moore?
