Yeah but the academy has been terrible up until Flitcroft revolutionised it.  We never produced any home grown players. Ever.

The re-writing of history and claiming glory of other people's efforts really boils my piss.

Well done Baylee. He looked like a boy in a man's game when he first come into the team. He's come on leaps and bounds since he started angaint Orient though. Hopefully it continues and he's not sold off for money to be put into another Flitcroft vanity project.

Just wait for version 2 of Carol’s letter where our beloved Flicker’s objectives will magically have included getting a player called up to the England U17s but incredibly still nothing about first team results.

Whilst I respect anybody who scouted any of our young talent & they do deserve some plaudits, you can't really throw the Flitcroft card at it IMO.

Our Academy looks to be a million times better run now than it was before he arrived. It's all well & good scouting these players, but they have to be developed as well. For the last few years that's been under Flitcrofts watch. Baylee would've been about 14 when Flitcroft got involved. It was a savvy move bringing Will Ryder in. The current setup deserve praise for that. It's a real coup for Vale to get somebody called up for England, let's not dilute that because of other goings on.

Well done and something he will never forget. Well done to Will Ryder and the academy team. Well done to Baylee for being able to hold his head high st such a young age when others around him should hang their heads in shame. Big up Baylee. You are a star in the making

Nothing to do with the current set up. He’s been at vale for 8 years.

The difference is the pathway is better now. The players were always there, that was down to Crosby bringing them into a first team environment. Previous managers were not interested in the academy that was not the academy managers fault at the time. Money is now allocated to the academy where previously it was not again not the previous academy managers fault. All the current potential stars were here prior to this new regime but now there is a pathway to the first team. The proof will be when the new set up produce players and I sincerely hope the do. No evidence yet.
