After Tuesday my optimism levels have failed to recover sufficiently to be arsed to buy a ticket, even though I could probably get there quicker from here than Burslem on recent traffic levels.

I don’t think there has ever been a Port Vale Football Club game with lower expectations than this. I genuinely think fans were more hopeful against Man City.

The most Port Vale thing here would be to win, and then lose to Shrewsbury and go down.
