I guess we have set such a low bar in recent weeks I was just glad for a slight uptick in performance.

I thought the first half was relatively equal, but we fell apart in the second half.

Reading basically had much better wingers which is where most of their threat came from.

To be fair I thought Mighten was equal to them but once he went off our threat was largely gone which meant their wingers were even more free to have a go at our full backs, DJ did alright but once it was Grant there it was messy, this is the problem with trying to change things in February, had Moore had a couple of weeks we may have been able to get a full back into the club, as it is we are waiting on Mitch Clarke really but dont have anyone whos really a full back. Cant get away with playing wingers there as easily as you can wing Back for example.

Anybody still in on the Reading love in? Although we've been dreadful and deservedly relegated, this game was the catalyst for our downfall in my opinion.

At the time we were initially meant to play them, we were in reasonable form and they weren't. We still had Devine and had started the game well, having a goal disallowed.

We then had the game the week after postponed and so any momentum built up in December was vanquished.

When we played the replayed game, we were in a right old state and they had picked up some form.

This is a team that signed some very decent league 1 standard players but then failed to pay them. A couple of which we were believed to have been after. Why was this allowed?

I'm sure all their fans will be delighted that they've stayed up but for me they should have been punished more severely. But like everything with this club, we meekly surrendered.

One of the most bizarre things I've ever heard was that our fans were in the Reading end at Wigan. Completely staggered me.
