Are we actually outperforming our budget?

I'd expect our budget to be lower mid table. Smart recruitment really is gambles which come off. The bigger the budget also means the more resources for scouting. The Grant signing was a gamble on his fitness; which probably hasn't quite worked. There's plenty of easy recruitment on OVF; we all know Clarke-Harris would be a good signing.

Always acknowledged it as a sign of a good  manager when a club with a small budget and low crowds over achieved. Seen it  in recent  years with Morecambe and currently with Barrow. Obviously a big budget is considered a help rather than a hindrance ditto large crowds. You only have to look at the likes of Bradford to see it doesn't always guarantee success.

Outperforming no. But it is known that we have a lower mid-table budget and we are in lower mid-table.

If that thing is in any way accurate then it shows what a remarkable job that the Cheltenham Town manager is doing. Does anyone know his name?

It's not about budgets for me.

It's about the tactics and bizarre substitutions. He's not under my scrutiny for being 18th. It's because some of the performances are unacceptable and he keeps perseverance with the same things instead of being willing to change.

He's boring me. I accept 14th to 20th but wouldn't mind enjoying the football even in defeat.

I don’t believe looking at our squad that our budget is anywhere near more than a couple of clubs at most. All our best players are largely loans and there is nowhere near the depth of the top half clubs.

Wigan who we recently defeated were able to stick Calum McManaman and Josh Magennis on as subs. Both very experienced players with vast high level experience. If we could do that and we were behind our squad, as Wigan currently are, I would then be outraged.

You’ll get the usual people stating we have the likes of Ripley and Sang but Ripley was a buy from a low paying rival and Sang was lucky to get a chance to sit his arse on the bench at Cardiff. Neither would command as much cash as a Premier League former match winner and FA cup goal winner, or lead striker for Northern Ireland in the Euros back in 2016.
