But 1600+ tickets sold out for Shrewsbury and that was 2 weeks before the win at Exeter. What were they thinking?

They were thinking it's a local Derby 30 odd miles up the road and for many a few sherbets in a decent little town.

Has no connection to a game v Stevenage whatsoever.

Agree with the point you're making, but whoever added that Stevenage FA Cup away following up wants get back to Primary School level maths lessons. Have you seen the pitch side video on you tube. Not a chance there was over 500 there. 250 at most.

I was there and when Stevenage announced 500 odd I was stunned. Think only 2 coaches. 1 official and 1 Dicko went.

I'd agree with 250 tops as a figure.

I was making the point that people went to that one despite AC being the manager, and the cost of a ticket plus beers must have been much more than the £15 they'd be paying tonight.

Vale always travel well especially to a game down the road. It’s different from home support. I know a lot that went both, I went Shrewsbury and it wasn’t because of our brilliant form / football

I was there too and had been there for the league match. Although there were actually 4 coaches, 2 went to the ground itself but another two were in the fans car park over the road. Added to that when I collected my tickets from the away ticket office there was nobody else there! For the home league match I had to queue.

I don’t use  the forum as my barometer although I find it interesting reading different views which is why I don’t block any poster.

I talk to other fans at games around me, Twitter,Ale and Vale Podcast, my mates and family . Honestly I don’t know any person who actually wants Crosby as manager.

I also suggest the dwindling home attendances show fans are voting.

I get what you are saying. Others are missing the point intentionally. If it had been Shrewsbury away tonight then it would have still been 1600+ regardless of what fans are thinking.

Starting 11 for tonight.  Aware of the fixture pile up but also the importance of progressing.  Would like to give Dipepa a start alongside a minder - ie Uche.  He might be the answer to the goals problem, we will never know if he isn’t given a chance.  Again expect the game time to be shared.

                   Ripley

Sang.  Jessie Lowe Smith. Grant

          Ojo.    Olly

      Garrity.     Dipepa

                Uche

Sorry misunderstood.

I get what you mean but I can only speak personally. I've gone since my dad took me as a toddler. So nigh on 50 years. I go for the social aspect over the football. It's in my blood we are used to being mediocre and are what we are. Otherwise I could easily go to Man City. I go to meet my lifelong Vale fans. Talk rubbish, have a few pints.

I went to the away game at Stevenage. The draw is uninspiring it'll be freezing cold a mad rush from work. I've no appetite for it especially after a crazy busy weekend I've just had .

That might sound puddled after going to the away match but you can almost script how it will be. Let's just say a 4-3 cup humdinger is unlikely !

I wouldn't castigate any stay away fan tonight although I'm bound to say that.

I do agree, no way 550 in that stand. I’ll be generous and say 300 because we did sell about 250 pre match and a few bought on the day.

Got a feeling we might see James Wilson tonight so maybe him for Uche if so. Not sure where Devine is at but would play him too if available. If Grant plays due to the upcoming fixtures I’d make it 45 minutes tops.

Fair enough, I don't bother with that Ale and Vale thing as it seems to go on for hours. And I'd never take a footy forum so seriously I'd block anyone either - it's a bit of fun to pass the time when I am (or should be) working!
