Can you imagine the gate at Vale when we keep loosing games the way we are at the moment.  But we are only loosing by fine margins.  Stick together and it will be fine.

That's what I call blind faith.

Will this actually be on? -3 predicted for most of the country tonight and Stevenage's pitch isn't the best anyway...

Went the league game and the pitch was perfect

No.  Its called being a supporter. Through thick and thin.

Don't you think it's the same thing, Osh?

We are only losing by fine margins because teams do not have to get out of first gear to beat us.

Hopefully an early decision. We're not leaving till 11.30 so before then would be good. Official coaches leaving at 9.45 so you'd expect them to be early with it.

I have spoken to Stevenage and the covers are on, with no pitch inspection planned.

That is what AC and co keep coming out with it.  I have no faith it will change.

They say Love is Blind, and [to quote Grace Jones] Love is the Drug - put all that together and you've got the lot of a football fan.  I'm in my 60th year of supporting the Vale, and Drug is the best word I can think of to describe my addiction!

Let's face it, no-one knows for sure what will happen. The return from injury for several players and a couple of dabs of luck would see things looking much brighter. As it stands we're averaging a point a game away from home in the league and we're still in both Cups. Just a couple of wins before Xmas would see us on 25 points at the halfway stage.

I don't think anyone sees us scoring our way out of the situation with bagfuls of goals, but I think there's enough there to be comfortably mid-table.

I disagree. Apart from Garrity, who in the current squad looks like getting double figures this season?

I don't think that's a very fair statement; I know it's a dark sense of humour and self-depreciation to say that (Barnsley aside) we've lost and/or drawn games by the odd (annoying) goal and teams have struggled to overcome us.  Bolton, Portsmouth, Shrewsbury fans/commentators/forums have all stated that we have been THE best team that theyve played this season and we should have got something out of the game.  But I think you know that and it was just a silly throw away comment.

So, if we got all of the players back that we had at the start of the season, is there any reason why we cant produce the same results that we got at (say) Charlton.  Or against Reading.  Or Blackpool.

Same group of players (+Uche and Loft)

Same Manager

Why...??

It's obvious we haven't got a spread of goals throughout the team and I'm hoping this will be addressed in January. I've got more hope in Uche bagging a few than I have in Loft who at present is looking a really bad signing.

My bigger concern has actually always been the three young loanees. How committed is any player on loan when the chips are down, never mind ones who have taken a step down in levels? And if we lose them and either get inferior replacements or none at all, that would be a cause for concern.

I'm only going on gut feeling (as can any fan) and I'm not seeing hopeless, terrible performances without effort - which gives me hope.
