    Used the words ‘ there’s nothing in it really ‘ doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Time will tell but I never thought we’d get Gayle to be honest once I heard his name being thrown about

    Moore is probably being totally honest about Dwight Gayle. While a move is logical given he is local and played well under Moore, the reality is, he is the sort of faded big name who actually tends to struggle in league 1. For us he would be a big gamble. Andy Carroll started the season with Reading in our league and struggled despite also being an ex Newcastle star of greater talent than Gayle. 
     

    We could give him a deal for a lot of money and he could prove a total flop. Hard for us to take that risk a bigger club can. I also think his Stoke ties would see him get grief off their fans, so a move would not be that appealing. I think he will go to a minor foreign league for money.

    Weird how Vale haven’t said anything around Nash if he has gone. They announced it with Dunn. Backroom staff will surely be announced before kick off tomoz 🤔
