No doubt part of his new contract negotiations.  Nice to see Chris Wilder is a man of his word (keeping him with the first team squad rather than sending out on another loan). Good luck to the young man, though it’s a near certainty he’ll  take to the PL like a duck to water.

I don't usually pay much attention to Premier League games or Match of the Day but if he plays I will tune in to see how he does

Likewise I’ve lost all interest in top flight football. Can’t remember last time I saw match of the day mate! All about lower league 😆

Tweets suggesting Dwight Gayle on the verge of joining Derby.

Although we're a busted flush anyway with Haaland up front.

Pipped again for a striker at the last minute?

Not sure we really had a hope anyway despite building our hopes up.

It's on the Sentinel website now. Injuries to James Collins, Connor Washington and Martyn Waghorn so they need another striker in...

Yes but we nearly signed him, and that is a valid defence of the DoF somehow.

Some of these simply have to be worth a punt at this stage.

Made the bench today so his chance should come soon.

I know there are people on here who like to scour the internet for those of us who cant be arsed 🙂 but are there any realistic foreign free agent strikers out there who would be classed as match fit(no use having one who takes a month or two to get fit),my guess would be from a Scandinavian country with DF mentioning there?

I cant see that there are any uk based ones that would interest us

Seems he left an Indian club in June 23

My bet would still be Troy Deeney. Been around the block, bit of a prickly character on the pitch and puts himself about. Got 4 goals for Forrest green so better than any of our current lot and must be fairly fit. Let’s face it, it’s stick or twist time and there isn’t much in the pack.

Deeney is exactly the type we need atm, a fighter. Moore has to ruffle a few feathers and hope he gets a response.
