I know we’ve been struggling at wing back most of the season and I know we need people back from injury. But call me a miserable old cynic, I saw that in amongst the <ovf censored> on Twitter that Mitch Clark replied to one of the clubs posts (probably the open letter Carol tweet) with an attention seeking post of his own about it great to be back in the grass. I’ve noticed hes done this a lot over the last few years, puts a comment to get a attention from fans (usually our own), but I felt his reply to the clubs open letter was the wrong time and place to put it. Anyway hopefully he’s back soon and has managed to find some form whilst he’s been away.

My guess is we set our stand too high, refused to pay the over inflated fees earlier in the month and then had a deal lined up on deadline day that relied on another club making a change which didn't happen - not leaving enough time to pivot. 

There has to be lessons learnt from this though.

And it doesn't excuse the left back issue. Surely we could have loaned Gibbons in until the end of the season on a cheap enough deal. He wasn't my first choice but better than nothing?!??

...rumour has it that Gibbons is on 5K a week at Bristol, so he wouldn't have been a cheap option, even if we only had to pay 50/60 % of his wages.

No he didn’t put it in reply to anything. He made a separate post just saying after 4 months out it was nice to be back on the grass. The Vale Twitter account retweeted him not the other way round. Plenty of things to criticise at the moment but this is reaching a bit quite honestly.

Cambridge are paying all of his wages so that ended that.

Still think we could get a free agent there is loads out there. Dwight gale,Connor wickham,Liam Moore,Matt penney

Yeah we could but out of them only Gale is near match fit  , the others would be fit by end of march

Two of them have or  played for Vale .

This gambling lark Well at times I watch games and think there's loads of players doing it .

If so it will come out eventually and if it does there's no honesty in the game no more and it needs  be closed down .
