My question was in response to you saying  “Croz has made it clear that he doesn’t see a future for him at the club”, as if it was widely known as an established fact, rather than seemingly hearsay, likely based on the rumour that TC was linked with a move prior to his injury.

It’ll be interesting to see, if Tom is to move, how it’s managed.  Even if it’s resurrecting a previous move he’d still have to prove his fitness with some minutes between now and Jan.  Mickey Mouse cup perhaps?

I know its not official, the club have to manage it to extract maximum value for him but it happened, all I will say actions so far have made it abundantly clear.

When AC took over TC was not trusted to play. He got a game against Ipswich as the ONLY fit midfielder and then played in the final game against Plymouth when we were safe. 

Stripped of the captaincy in the summer.

Nb. of players recruited in his position not including the USA player who looks an absolute unit by the way when I've watched a bit of training.

He's defo worth playing in trophy just to put him in the shop window and give the other lads a rest after this busy period but I do think if his mentality and fitness is right than he's worth looking at LWB to get a left footer in the team.

Saying “stripping him of the captaincy”sounds more drastic than Crosby simply seeing Smith as a better option, a guy who never misses a game maybe?  Who knows.  You’re saying a number of players recruited in his position then saying we’ve got no left footers in the team.

Personally I think we’d be daft to play Conlon at LWB right now, he’s neither mobile enough or quick enough.  Plant is far quicker and more mobile yet he’s struggled at times, what makes folk think Conlon would do better?  In theory we’ve got Plant, Clarke, Massey, Sang and probably others who we could pick first despite not being left footers.  To be honest I’m surprised fans don’t think he’d be better at the other end of the pitch, coming on for Chizz possibly, as he has the ability to chip in with the odd goal but what do I know.

There isn't much point having an on-pitch captain who can't get on the pitch? Similarly a player who was injured when squad numbers were announced, and was not likely to play for a while couldn't expect to be given  a 1 - 11 squad number...even though, these days, those numbers are not necessarily indicative of the actual position in which players are expected to play. I'd suggest we wait and see how he trains and plays if he gets back to full fitness? As has been noted, we probably haven't seen the best of him in Lge 1?
