Eh! Don't you mean good news?

A little reminder we haven't found a partner for him in 5 years.

Have you figured out the common denominator?

**** him off.

Vale fan logic...we can't find a decent partner for our best player...so lets get rid of our best player, that will sort the problem out!

The common denominator has been a lack of good striker partners you dipstick! But hey, as long as we have the likes of pope and Williamson up front scoring 8 goals between then all season, then we'll be happy. Jesus wept!

I don't agree with your logic, but you're entitled to your opinion. Getting rid of Richards would be fine if we had a better replacement lined up, which as far as I'm aware we don't and we also don't have any current players who are anywhere near good enough to replicate his goalscoring record at this level. It also depends what these other clubs are offering for Richards. If they are offering more than he's worth, bearing in mind his age and the fact that he's probably looking at his last major contract then I would say it would make good sense to sell him. No point in selling him though and having no one else lined up and just banking the money. I'm sure MA won't let sentiment get in the way and will hopefully do what's right for the club. I'm not signed up to the school of thought that says let's offer him the earth just so he stays. Bearing in mind that generally centre forwards are the most over-valued position on the field, we might be able to do some good business, as long as MA has targeted someone of a similar calibre or the potential to be as good as Rico ( and preferably a bit younger and cheaper) then it might work out alright for us.

Youth Keeper = Fair Enough

Haldane = Winger who can't take on a player without falling over

Rob Taylor = Winger who scores about 2 a season and is also usless at taking a player on

Williamson = This lad is absolutely dire, what on earth Micky sees in him is beyond me he is useless, can't believe we have signed him.

Yes what a real coup we have.

I think Adam's retained list is now starting to reveal some serious problems.

Some players have jumped at the chance to sign. This is because they know the chance of them finding anything better at this level is very, very slim because they are injured or not good enough.

Meanwhile, Griff - a fans favorite and a decent midfielder - has left, and it looks probable that Richards, undoubtedly our best playing asset will leave.

So this means that what is left of the playing budget after all our dross players have resigned has to be spent very, very carefully, and to be fair Adams greatest strength isn't in the transfer market.

There's also the problem of attracting good players in, when some of our better players have just left.

On top of that, the buzz still needs to built to shift more season tickets. This will only come with a decent squad.

I hope to god Adam's proves me wrong but I'm struggling to see how we will achieve anything more than a mid-table finish right now.
