Think you're right. I vaguely remember it, think it turned ugly and there were injuries.  Was it connected to a transfer?  Ie,  we threw in a pre season friendly as part of the deal?     Assuming my memory isn't playing up again,  that would be why we have never returned.  Do crewe usually play there?
