You may be thinking about the Rotherham home game, first match of the 86-87 season after promotion from the 4th division under Rudge. Grew got injured very early on and Andy Jones went in goal for the rest of the match. I remember it being a really eventful but cracking match, Webb got an awful injury but Rudge sent him back on as we were losing, so we needed 11 on the pitch. Webb hobbled around up front, we got a late equaliser, felt like a win, lovely sunny day. Think that's the match you may be on about. Grew got a bad injury and I think missed most of that season.

I was at the away game when Grew saved the two pens and time has also clouded the memory,it was either Portsmouth or West Ham in a 2-2 draw,i'm leaning towards West Ham.

Was West Ham only one on this link shown

Can any one remember a game, I think it may have being against Bolton in witch Grewie got injured in the first half and had to play the second half with his leg in splint back in the good old days, Its all coming flooding back to me now,

We beat Bolton 2-1.

Ray Walker scored the winner in about the 96th minute.

I remember the Bolton manager going mental because of all the injury time given in the second half

I'm worried that my mind is playing tricks with my memory.

West Ham at Upton Park.....I thought Grewy saved TWO penalties,

100% he saved 2 penalties at West Ham in a 2-2 draw.

I also remember the West Ham fans smashing in the windows of the supporters coach that we were on after the game

It was West Ham. It was the day of the Poll Tax riot in London. We were in a very quiet Trafalgar Square in the morning but all hell broke out there later in the day.
