When Southgate got the job he said he would pick players on form, not reputation.  So why have we got the likes of Maguire, Shaw, Trent A-A, Chilwell (one league start), Coady (not good enough for Wolves)?

Dreadful squad really. Like you say he said he would pick on form and I’m sure he said that recently as well. 

Maquire and Shaw should be nowhere near that squad. Grealish and Bowen I wouldn’t have in either. (Bowen of this season) Mason mount has been dire this season, yet will start. Squad based on names again rather than form, there’s an argument like with Chilwell to say Phillips shouldn’t be in there either. Trent been awful as well and we don’t need him with the other (better RBs we have) 

For me Kilman at Wolves should be in. Left sided CB, 2nd best rated CB so far this season stat wise in premiership. Maddison overlooked again, I know Leicester are struggling but his stats are still excellent. Ben white? He’s done well so far this season. Two players I’m not a fan of but both doing well recently, rashford and sancho. If it’s on form surely they’re in as well?

Think it's clear that Southgate has taken England as far as he can and we're desperate for some fresh ideas. He's done brilliantly to get the team wanting to play for the shirt, and despite getting favourable draws, he still got us to a final and semi-final. But to go so many minutes without us scoring from open player with the players he has at his disposal at the top end oif the pitch is criminal. 

Every time Grealish comes on we look a much better team suddenly, yet he would rather start anyone else but him. Lose to the Germans at Wembley in a couple of days time and the knives will really be out for him going into a World Cup.

Hopefully Southgate will do the honourable thing and resign. The reaction following the Euros has been appalling. We're on the slide and there's no way that this can be reversed with him in charge.

The World Cup is already a write-off. Get someone in now to give them a chance to work with the players for a month over the winter then go from there. Waiting for the inevitable failure that's looming with Southgate in charge for another major tournament is frankly a waste of time.

It's even more depressing when you watch our ladies produce magic not that many weeks ago. A team that played with freedom and spirit Southgate and his boys could only dream of right now. It's quickly gone back to being an absolute chore to watch our men's side. That said, some players really need to have a look at themselves. Foden and Mount have done next to nothing in an England shirt in their careers so far despite plenty of opportunities. The manager takes some responsibility for that but a number of players should be doing a whole lot better.
