v Morecambe: game and post match comments

Had a few hours to reflect.

Shocking performance and every Vale player needs to look at himself and question if he has any balls for a fight! I don't mind losing to a better team etc, but the manner in which we lost today was appaulling. At 2-0 down there was no urgency, no fight. We've lost a lot of fans at Vale, for one reason or another, and with performances like that today it's going to be hard to keep many! What's annoyed me most is having read some of the comments from players in the Sentinel over the past week, for them to turn in that dross today, well I hope they re-read what they said and eat a big slice. Nothing is won in October, I don't want to read we are going to be up there blah blah blah, talk on the pitch and the papers will write themselves boys!

Onwards and upwards I suppose, it won't be any worse than that this season!

Back to reality with a predicatable bump - all week since we beat a very poor Northampton team we have had people like Grew, Rico and Horsfield spouting cr@p about play offs and the so called improved quality of our squad.

If you buy into this rubbish and get swept along with the spin you end up being really dissapionted when it goes t!ts up like it did today.

The reality is we have a weak squad and a manager whose recent "acheivments" cannot match the expectation of the vast majority of the "brainwashed" regulars.

If we have the so-called new funded investment - lets see the colour of there money in the form of better players and a manager who has a more recent history of success at this level, otherwise gag the spin/bull s h i t at V-park and face the reality of another season of mid-table mediocraty.

Spot on steve great post

bobbins today, took a mate for the first time and i doubt he will be back !! all except popey and griff looked remotely interested. I hope adams has them in at 9am in the morning and and ruins there day off but i doubt it eh

I don't doubt it, didn't he have them in after the Shrewsbury game? Adams got it wrong today, just like Wenger got it wrong at Man Utd, just like Hitler did trying to invade Russia in the winter, just like my mate did thinking you get it all for 50 euros in a North Germany brothel.

This time last week we were talking about how good we were, we have got 30 odd games left to go, the start to the season hasn't been a disaster, just steady. How about we stop being moaning little bitches and put a bad day at the office behind us.

Players, even very good ones, have a bad day occasionally... it can, and often does, affect the result and/or team performance.

It seems when Vale players have a bad day they all have a bad day with one or two exceptions... the complete reverse of what is usual.

Very disappointed with the result... bladdy devastated by the lack of spirit and cohesion...

Its a vale shirt you guys wear, its not just another football shirt, its our battle flag.

worst performance i have seen at home since we lost to macc under sinnott, the most worrying thing was the lack of pace in defence they looked so slow why kozluk wasn't taken off at half time there winger time and time again just walked past him and he didnt seem interested in even attempting to win it back, i arent just blaming him the whole team ran out of ideas to quick again. lets see how we react on tuesday and saturday we could do with at least 4 points.
