Nice omission of owners in people to blame. I'm not solely blaming fans, just apathy has enabled Smurf to ruin us. Think I'm done with you pally.

Remember who predicted all this would happen. Me and a few others.

"Oh, how could you take pride in Vale's failure, not a fan"

I don't. But the only thing getting me through this woeful period of Port Vale is the fact that I called it all, got castigated widely, and got proven right.

Remember that next time you ask for proof of things. On Brown and Smurf I was spot on.

Me too predicted all of this immediately following the promotion season when the club moved backwards commercially.

Smurf needed as I said at the time a fully proven football chief exec.

Got completely berated by most vale fans.

Well you have got precisely what hagrid and I predicted you would

I am prepared to pay my money on Saturday and stand up and fight for the club I have loved for 45 years.

You have every right to stay away.

I personally prefer to face into liars and bullies

I didn't omit the owner. He's right there, first in the list. I do think if you are realistic then he isn't to blame for our form this season. He is largely to blame for us being in this division overall however.

You claim to be right, I'm asking for the evidence. Show me evidence and I'll come and stand next to you at whatever protest you want. Do you know for a fact that Smurf is 'pocketing' money?

A somewhat flawed poll in my humble opinion, as some of the smurf stooges have already stopped going but will still vote. Might have been fairer and more balanced if it had asked those who would normally or sometimes go, as the result with votes from non-attenders means very little as a measure of 'boycotting'.

I don't think it matters. If you believe he hasn't, that's up to you. I've no hard evidence to prove he has and I wouldn't try & convince you.

Has my own personal burden of proof been ssatisfied that he has, yes.

That's totally fair enough, we all have to decide what we believe based on the information we have. Whilst our opinions differ I definitely agree with your point.

I draw the line at people preaching at me that Smurf does this and that. On one hand he's the biggest bumbling idiot to ever come near Vale park and at the same time he's a heinous evil genius who is somehow making a load of money from the club without anyone knowing how, where or how much.

I asked for evidence as the thread starter stated that he was pocketing money. That's all. I'm not denying it or claiming it's wrong. I just want to know how he knows.

I love the Vale too. FFS are we in the loop of you can only be a supporter if you go to 65 games a season?

Eddie - that is not what I am saying. My point is that I am not at all happy with the situation at the Vale but I will go to support my team. I support the lads, not necessarily the owner or management. Whilst it could be said that I am supporting the regime by attending I reserve the right to support the team, whilst if others wish to boycott the game then that is their prerogative.

The state of the ground, no improvements, cheap managers, cheap players, everything is cheap and run down, the fact we've been dropping like a stone down a well for the past couple of years speaks volumes for me, but if you don't think smurf pockets money, be my guest in attending Vale Park and getting absolutely nothing in return.

That's not evidence of him pocketing money though is it?

I would think that signing an entire new squad of players from abroad on crazy money and with god knows what agent fees, only to get relegated, pay them all off and have to sign a whole new squad of players will take a lot of money.

The ground has seen improvements, admittedly not to a high level but it's not true to say that it has not been improved.

What money is he actually taking out? We've been operating at a loss for a few seasons unless I'm mistaken. Where is this money coming from?

Considering it's common knowledge that he's done the direct opposite - he's pumped money in to plug holes then I just don't understand how people think he's somehow benefiting.

Oh yes, because it's a loan and he wants it all back some day. If I took a loan out it certainly wouldn't be with a loss making failing company with a covenant protecting the only asset they have from being sold for full value.

Well said.

The one thing that everyone is forgetting is that we all want the same thing. A successful Port Vale team to support.

I don't agree that a boycott at this time would the best way of achieving that, but I'm also not blaming people who boycott for the state of the club either.

I find all this 'keep the faith, support the team, back the lads, get behind the team, up the vale' malarkey a bunch of nonsense, I myself , have, at away games, fans have at home, and we haven't won in six games, neither scored from open play, back em all you want, sadly, it's achieving nothing.
