I like Mark Simms and would of liked him on the board. However I am afraid Deakin is spot on. Not what we like to hear but never the less true.

Its hard to say if he is spot on, none of us were there.

 

I find his comments re due dilligence interesting, I know when I have sat on management teams carrying out due dilligence for potential purchases that a "cash flow budget" would not have sufficed.

 

Either way hopefully we can draw a line now and move on

I, too, have a lot of time for Mark, and believe it would be better for all if he was on board. But I do think there is some truth in Deakin's statement. Particularly, I think he loast a lot of heart when he realised Mo wasn't going to get in!

 

But for the sake of all, I think we should move on a concentrate on watching how we do over the coming months. The next 12-18 months will be crucial and we have to keep our eyes on the future, not the past!

one out and one in. Whilst Deakin seems intent on having the last word, if I were Mark and knew those comments to be false I'd have to have the final say. It was over and there was absolutely no need for todays comments

Why did Mr Deakin even need to raise this matter again? I thought it was dead and buried. It does seem odd that, at a time when he is trying to unite the fan base, be publicly criticises the one guy whom the majority of shareholders voted onto the Board.

 

Personally, I have serious doubts about the validity of Mr Deakin's comments. His version of the truth seems to change with the wind.

Perhaps it wasn't a case of losing heart, SV. Perhaps the difference was between sharing the Board Room with those you trust or sharing it with those you don't?

To be honest, I'm picking up a bit of Sentinal WUM'ing here. I think they are maybe struggling for something and are just trying to keep what has been a hot story running for a bit longer. When you read it, it's nothing that is actually new or has not been stated before - it's a non-story!

Agreed Jean, but lets not forget that of those he most definitely did not want to share a boardroom with after the EGM,1 is gone, another is going and I have a funny feeling that the third will just be happy to keep his seat on the board. Never has the term "temporary" chairman meant so much in potentially ominous terms!

This Deakin chap really is a tool. If He would just shut up I would have been getting a season ticket, but now I'm in 2 minds again, how can I justify putting my hard earned cash towards feeding this moron?

Maybe it will be a non - story when Deakin approaches Mark for some sponsorship ?IMO Deakin hasn't got a clue .:(
