Club wanted Sims on board

It seems to me that there is never going to be a full truce with complete unity within the club. A real shame because given a clear run maybe this board could possibly deliver!

However there is far too much mistrust from both sides and various factions will continue to muck-rake as much as possible.

 

For Port Vale Football Club to move forward the entire fan-base, board of directors, local media and Uncle Tom Cobbleigh and all need a period of 7/8 months of concentrating on the Football, let's get this great team of ours promoted out of this hell hole and take it from there.

So PD says it was not raised in the LAST meeting, not that it wasn't raised at all.

"Mark told the board he didn't want to sign guarantees and I fully understood his reticence."

So PD says it was discussed at PREVIOUS meetings.

"There was no definitive decision made, but we indicated our willingness to discuss it."

So PD is saying that it was not discussed at the last meeting because Sims knew by then, but also slightly contradicting himself by saying Sims knew that they were just willing to discuss it. So the exchange does not prove that either are lying. The question is, as of the LAST meeting did Sims know that he would not have to sign guarantees? What fun, it's like Agatha Christie.
