A week later, I pray that the deal goes through ASAP but could Smurf just be happy to sit and wait, maybe months given that Fradley has now got his steady hand on the tiller. With the hope that MB starts the season well and we begin to forget what an odious man he is?

Interesting..if we start badly who will get the blame? NS has a few ready made scapegoats in the manager and chairman and indeed the CEO. By distancing himself he can claim "nothing to do with me mate" and even if the budget is to blame he can scapegoat the fans who didn't buy season tickets.

If Norman is being genuine about wanting to sell the club, he needs to estimate/best guess what he thinks any Smith and Hugill transfers would be worth to club and factor it into an asking price.

 

Is it unfair to say that if he had any intention of selling to either Synectics or the Jones consortium then he would have engaged with them a little more?

Heard from a member of the PVFC staff yesterday that Norm is taking a back seat and letting the dust settle. He wont sell and does not want to sell as he loves it so much. (The rest here I think was his own speculation) He will make us have a medico season next year and then when he thinks everything has been resolved with the fans, we will beg him to plough more money in to bring a promotion push the following year and all will be forgotten.
