Synectic Solutions make bid to buy PVFC

To be honest I think its a very generous offer... it was valued at the same amount when smurf bought it... it has been damaged and depreciated in the last 4 years of mismanagement. The ground hasnt been improved, the team certainly hasnt been improved and I would argue the off field activities have also stagnated if not depreciated... so where "the ego" gets the extra 2-3 ,million from is laughable and offensive.

That said he wont sell for that price... shame really because I felt a sudden surge of hope... ah well... we are... and so on

Some people seem to think this is a "tactical" bid and they would offer more money.

Norman paid £1.25 million for the Vale. He's not made any profit in any year of his ownership. He says he's putting in £800,000 per year so it's a loss making asset.

Why would you think it's worth more than the offer? A tactical and probably realistic offer would be to offer to take the club for nothing and stop Norman having any more losses.

Synetics must have a business plan to stem those losses. Norman has shown no ability to stem the loss so his only way to do that is to take the money on offer.

In a purely business sense he's a very lucky man. He's received an offer of £1.25 million for a loss making business. He needs to accept.

Would this offer include Norman wiping off his debts to the club in terms of loans, or would Synetics still have to pay these off?

If it's the latter, Smurf still gets his money back so I can't see any valid grounds not to sell.

Looking at the way Norman has run the business the only way he can make any money is by selling our best players. Well, he's sold a couple and he only got about £350,000 and that hasn't all materialised in one payment, plus our new Chairman says he will resign if Norman takes player transfer money. His transfer money doesn't even pay for one years expenditure and neither would the sale of Nathan Smith.

Under Normans business plan the only way he thinks he can get his money back is some kind of fantasy price that no one will pay. Who in reality is going to pay over £4 million for a big loss making business?

The first job our new Chairman and CEO should be doing is to tell the owner that the best way for him to avoid further financial catastrophe is to accept the Synetics offer immediately. That's the sensible business decision.

As a fan of the football club since 1952 and a distant relative of Freddie Steele there is an emotional reason as well. I want our club to prosper so Norman, sell to Synetics now.

I'm guessing he has to write off his 'loans' otherwise known as 'completely made up figures'

The fat controller is lucky to be getting £1.25m, they're doing him a favour. It's a business he's trashed into the ground, relegated and pîssed the customers of off big time.

Excellent move,

If Smexit is to happen this was needed as a concrete public announced offer , it will stop all of us getting at one another with he said/she said this n that as its from the horses mouth.

I would presume as with most negotiations in any form you never start with your highest bid if you are buying likewise lowest if you are selling so hopefully should be some common ground in between .

It is a fair and realistic price and the fair thing is to deal but fair doesn't always rank high in transactions.

Norman apparently likes chess well he is now in check
