For those blaming Brown

Iron Curtain

Recommended Posts

I think he should go and will go. Not much more we can do about it is there?

I agree,i dont expect him to be Chairman at the start of next season..the only problem i can see for him is that he wont sell the club for as much if relegated as they want to pay now in league 1

Not really as I want him to keep bank rolling the club.

What I do and have always wanted however is him to appoint a Director of Football and experienced manager and leave the football side to them.

Yes, but he DOES NOT 'bankroll the club'. He lends the club money, it is in debt to him, then WASTES it by making stupid appointments and decisions and bringing in players at ridiculous salaries with God-know-what going on in the background involving other parties.

AND IT IS NOT HIS MONEY- He is wasting money Vale owe to him and then trying to tell us he funds this dross.

Why is it that only about 3 or 4 people have trouble understanding this ?

The Hedge fund will and are willing to pay more

I haven't seen the bids so can't comment.

On one hand I'm being told on here that Smurf is worth £75m... on the other he is willing to sell us to a dreaded hedge fund for an extra £500k or so to cover the money he lost making his own stupid decisions (he was willing to pay Mbamba £90k a year!!!!)

Doesn't seem like bloke that should be supported and defended to me.

The hedge fund are willing to pay £2 million more.

Your last point highlights why he needs to get experienced football managers in to manage the football side of the business if he wants to keep bankrolling the club.

They're as crazy as he is.

No experienced manager worth his salt will come because he meddles. He wants young inexperienced ones who he can foist crap players on to.

It his Norman's own money fact, I do believe under the fair play rules clubs cannot be bankrolled beyond there income structure!

Michael Brown needs to stick to selling ice creams, he is making Dean Glover look like a football genius. 20 Games 18 points must have one of the worst win ratios in Port Vale managerial history

Correct. Brown's winning ratio is now 20%. Only 4 managers in the Vale's history have a worse or similar record:

Ivor Powell (1951) 10.5% - even before my time

Bobby Smith (1977-78) 17.6%

Mark Grew (2011) 20%

Lee Sinnott (2007-8) 20.5%

Brown has been given an impossible job in my view but anyone thinking he is the future of Port Vale needs to ask what evidence they have that would make us think we could safely entrust the success of this great club to another untried, inexperienced manager. Count me out!

To all those fans who were glad to see the back of Micky Adams, you have to be very careful what you wish for

Whilst I do not blame Brown for our current situation, he does not help with his team selections and tactics. His ineptitude and lack of motivation for the team speaks for itself. My fear is that if he gets the job and we're playing league 2 football then where will that leave us. Staring non league in the face I'm afraid

Quite a contradiction if you consider that he failed to appoint a proper football person to oversee matters in the first place.

The guy is a Businessman and only has profit in his heart as a priority. Prove i'm wrong

Another example that proves people don't get this quite simple point.

We know it's his own money.

But he is not GIVING it to the vale... he has separated the ground so knows that he will get his money back through renting the ground to anyone who buys the club.

All the while he is making SHOCKING decisions that are ruining the club. And yet he is still heralded a hero by some who don't get that he isn't bankrolling the club... he is lending it money on a risk free basis.
