Gardner hasn't played for 3 years but i would take Cole in a heartbeat

 

Cole would be great - if he could only play 45 minute cameos he could probably still help us win a few points. Not sure about Gardener, obviously a good player and very experienced so could organise the defence - just need him to do it for 90 minutes though.

 

Definitely don't want Ronnie Moore. If Brown isn't the answer, let's get a long term appointment in. Whatever happens we need to rebuild again at the end of the season so give someone the job and let them do it. Gives them this season to see what players are worth keeping and planning what's needed for next year.

I can see the advert now:

 

"If you are a good L1 (ideally better) centre half or centre forward, are currently without a club, are fully match-fit and are prepared to play for shirt buttons, please contact N. Smurthwaite, c/o PVFC as soon as possible."

Why keep on about Smurth he's put more money in Vale than any man alive, probably about £2million over last few years just to keep us afloat for a a bunch of moaners. Page, poor manager, Ribero given what he wanted and Brown too callow as yet. Be fair would you put money into a club with a fan club of 50% moaners and 50% who really care enough. We should be called Ray Williams FC!
