Monday night replay (2 days later), and it was 3-1 if I remember rightly.

Remember similar sentiments going to Burnley in the early 80s. We were cr@p and they were 2 divisions above us but we had a 90 minute mental on the old covered terrace down the side and got a draw. Beat them at home 2-0.

 

My very first away game - we sat in the cricket stand behind the goal and upset some local slug heads as we sat in their seats apparently - the lads on the terrace seemed to have a proper good time - was it Johnny Miller or one of the Chanberlains that got our goal ?

Neville I think. It was just after half time and the bar had been open - you could take your ale on the terraces then - and all I remember after the goal was a 30 sec. shower of beer.

When u also consider most people know u can pay on the gate so r getting theres tomozi ts a very good following .

What was it 3000 odd v Stevenage at home so to take take 1/3 especially when away from home where we r nothing short of terrible is fantastic really .

Just hope the players play like they have never played before .

If its true that we sold our allocation of 1000 then there are going to be almost double that from the talk/hype that seems to suggest many, many are making their own way and paying on the gate(me included.) If also we share the stand with Home season ticket holders it should be jammed full as it only holds 4,000 doesn't it?

I'm paying on the day.. will be around 1400 Vale there I'm guessing.. no armed police hopefully ;)

Agreed...it's been a huge part of the atmosphere being crap the last two seasons.

 

Time to get some noise back at Vale games.....starting tomorrow!
