We already got the seats they have been under the lorne street stand for about 2 years just board cant be botherd to get them fitted

In that case have them fitted(free fitting has been offered).Then that space taken up by the seat's could be put to use for something else.

They turned down the installation of free seating saying it wasn't needed. I think either Mark Sims or Dave Felstead said they'd got someone willing to fill that side with seats but our magnificent board turned down the offer

Who offered to complete the seating for free?

It's a metaphor for crass, narrow minded, pathetic, small town, small minded, introverted, lack of ambition. No plan; but survival from one week to the next. No interest; but their own sweet welfare and let the Vale bump along the bottom with a bunch of supporters happy to pay over the odds for failure and mediocrity (on a "good" day).

That frikkin clock is the same. If they can't be arsd to fix it, then take it down. Sick to the back teath of looking at it. Useless clowns.

Of course we are the laughing stock of the league. Little cash strapped Vale; "they are where they are."

:yes:===

What gets me about that clock is,that it only wants two new batteries?:D

I agree that if the seats are there then they need putting in. At least it'd look more complete even if it were empty and unusable. If they can get this done for free then what is the harm in that? There has to be another explaination, unless they literally haven't been arsed for the last 3years or so.

Has anyone in the know, (not common on here but hey) have an idea how much it would cost to complete work on the concourse even to a temporary level to allow spectators to use the stand and pass any safety certificates? Just wondering if the cost is small enough to justify it if we got Stoke or Man U in the cup or something to accomodate an extra 1500-1800 supporters paying £21.50 each... I'm guessing a fair wedge more than any potential gain. Couldn't they put a Burger Van, Temporary portacabins and just tidy the place up on a very short term basis if required? Talking purely hypothetically here as I have nothing else to do.

Mr Oliver told me years ago that there was no intention to complete the seating as we didn't have enough fans to fill it and (apart from the cost of developing that area of the ground) the costs incurred by extra stewarding etc would mean that it wouldn't be cost effective.

I'm happy to be quoted on that, to any-one, at any-time.

I just presumed every-one knew this already. Let's face it, if it was going to be completed, it would have been done by now. We're stuck with it, as it is, until the present incumbents of the club move on, and we attract further investment which is earmarked for stadium redevelopment.

Glenn Oliver in talking sense shocker. :D
