With the end in sight for the Forth Bridge paint job, perhaps the Lorne Street stand can become the new analogy for something that will never be finished?!

If a giant poster covered the bit where the seats are supposed to go then it would look much better, maybe even intentional. It would also be a major opportunity to generate more advertising revenue.

They turned down the installation of free seating saying it wasn't needed. I think either Mark Sims or Dave Felstead said they'd got someone willing to fill that side with seats but our magnificent board turned down the offer

Perhaps put crush barriers in and have it as terracing. Be great to have a standing area back at Vale Park. You never know, might help generate some more atmosphere.

The steps are designed for seats..To high for standing.....So thats a no go. Health and safety issues. :(

We already got the seats they have been under the lorne street stand for about 2 years just board cant be botherd to get them fitted

If this is the case then I would offer my services for free to help install them. Surely it's not that difficult. If we got 100 people one weekend when we are playing away, we would probably get it done. Anyone else?

Don't think there is any toilet facilities in that part of the Lorne Street.

I think that's the problem - if you install the seats then there are still no facilities such as refreshments and toilets in the concourse. Even allowing that side of the LS to use the facilities on the other side would doubtless lead to conjestion, delays and so on.

They would have to move the club shop to accomodate toilets and concourse area, which is on the front of the Hamil already by the away ticket office the building under the gym with the shutters....just needs re-fitting out, make a great Family Stand then close the old family stand

The board have alway's had a plan for a better future -- their own future.

 

The unfinished Lorne St. stand is of no consequence to the board.

It just adds flavour and attraction to observers of the 'EmmerVale' soap.
