Enoch's knocking on Bruno's door

The lad has to get fit first, agree to a sensible contract for both sides and provide an end product which is one important thing he failed to do in the past.

I'd agree with your initial points but I disagree a bit about the last part.

Failed to produce an end product in the past? I think that's a bit harsh. He started eleven League games, scored once, won one penalty if I remember correctly and generally did enough to be linked to a £2.5m move to Spurs.

Yep, he could have done more and possibly would have done if he hadn't got injured but considering it was his first games in League One, he was very bright and a real threat in the games I saw him in.

He's still only 23 if he can recover last season's form he has the potential to improve even more.

I was at the Colchester game when Andoh got injured last season. The difference in the Vale before and after he went off was marked - although we equalised after he went off, from a great cross by Lloyd on the left, our attacking threat had gone. The self belief seemed to go out of the side and we never recovered, losing 2-1. Colchester had started off double-marking him but then were suddenly able to attack at will down the left. It proved decisive.

So my view of the lad is that he was, and hopefully still is, a potential match winner. I was a bit dismayed when he didn't sign up at the end of last season and I hope that even now he will agree a deal with Norman. We clearly need someone of his calibre to provide the ammunition for our forwards.

I would love to see Enoch back in the side and playing as he was before his injury. However,he must prove his fitness before a new contract of the type he deserves so I would think a three month contract with an option to extend would be about right. I hope something can be sorted out along those lines.

I agree with a lot of the points about Andoh. I was excited when he got the ball at his feet. I equally hope he resigns on sensible terms. He had a lot of potential but his weakness was his final ball. I am sure if he hadn't got injured he would have sorted that out. But he is back to almost square one as he has to prove himself yet again. My view is he could still be a couple of months before he starts to play competitively again. I want him on a contract but not at any price.

I'm neither here nor there on Enoch. On what I saw last year, there's a good player in there- he's strong for a little guy, quick and skilful but he has to bring it all together.

I normally agree with Rob but 1 goal & 1 penalty in 11 isn't good enough for a winger, hence not convinced. From what I've seen I'd rather De Freitas but they both have youth on their side and a it stands, I'd rather have both on board than not

I suspect Enoch might have been able to put crosses in if he wasn't being fouled continually by the thuggish defenders decking him, at any cost?

That's going to happen though, league one defenders don't like being rinsed by young upstarts. That's why Tavares is such an asset; he's got the tricks but he's old & tough enough to not take any ****
