Tony Mowbray said he was disappointed with a draw ! Tell us about it !! What a wand.

His comments from the Sentinel.....

"We changed our tactics today to try to win a game of football. We let them have the ball for much of the time and tried to bring them on to us.

I suggest that he tries different tactics from now on, if we'd taken our chances we'd have been out of sight by half time. Armstrong could've had 2, probably have been consolation goals following our 1st half 8.

for me, best game of the season by a country mile...... what a pity the moaning bugger in the bycars bogs could not put the same passion into supporting the team(he was ranting for page to be sacked and that streete would have prevented the goal ) , bet he was even moaning when kelly came on .....my bet for a top half finish is still on the cards.....well done page and all the players today ....[/quote

That moaning bugger was probably me and I admit I was wrong. I get very passionate and I was just so frustrated that we weren't in front at half time and we gave an avoidable goal away when Innis went off. I'm just not a Mcgivern fan but football is a game of opinions. Overall I thought it was a very good performance and we were very unlucky not to win. We all want the Vale to do well so I'm sorry for moaning Shanghai because I felt proud of the team at the end today.

Overall a very good performance and the whole team deserve credit. Unfortunate injury to Inniss at a point where we were dominating the match. It took about six minutes to reorganise during which time Coventry took advantage and scored. Coventry do have some clever nippy front players who were rarely seen before or after. Afterwards a real struggle to find the equaliser, but an excellent strike from Kelly to break the deadlock, after it seemed we would not score today. We still need more shots and more efforts from midfielders. I thought the central pairing of Grant and Foley were very good today. It was nice to see them both half way in the opposition half today supporting the attackers and stopping Coventry from breaking out of defence. Good to see so many positive comments on this thread today.
