If that was aimed in my direction, then maybe I might stop moaning when Page finally opens his eyes to our defensive fragility. We've still got 3 of last seasons back 4 for goodness sake, and it was only a Chris Neal injury time wonder save at Yeovil that kept us up in the end. And that's the frustration because generally he seems to be going in the right direction. We showed what a good team we COULD be on Sunday and its no exaggeration to say that if we'd scored five it still wouldn't have been a true reflection of our almost total domination, basically thanks to their keeper who looked unbeatable bar an absolute worldie. So people go on about a missing centre forward, but for me it's a centre half we're desperate for. And judging by Stormin' Norman's budget threats on Radio Joke the other day this could be the best shot we have at the L1 play-offs for a few years to come.

To go on about our defensive frailties is a little harsh when you consider that we've conceded 36 league goals, around the 6th best in League 1. I personally feel that the defenders individually and as a team have improved immeasurably since last season, we've been unfortunate that Inniss has been crocked too for much of the season, had he been fit them I'm sure we would have conceded less still.

 

Now had we had a centre forward who could have stuck one of our excellent numerous chances away then we wouldn't have to worry about conceding the odd goal here or there.:)
