Seeing as his original comment was deleted, post-banning, I'm probably best not repeating it. Showed his true colours though. Utterly disgusting. I'm glad he doesn't tell people he's a Vale fan, I'm embarrassed to have him supporting the same club as me.

Ive watched some rubbish over the years and me and a mate worked out we must have spent between £6000 and £6500 following vale over last 10 years each for nothing but humiliation and embarrassment, when im away with work I always lie when someone asks who I support cus im so ashamed. Until we get a player who can hold the ball up and bring others in to the game the majority of the games will be of a similar nature and sorry to say Utch is not the answer he seems to have gone backwards since the impact he had at the start of the season.

I'd be interested to know what the stats r for Page in away games since he took over ,how many we have lost and a 0 is by the name of Port Vale after the game .

We fade away badly in the second half of games under Adams we seemed a lot better away and I always enjoyed going .

I can think of a few blank away days under page I've witnessed Mk Dons 0-1 Chesterfield 0-3 Burton 0-2 Sheffield utd 0-1 Fleetwood 0-1 and the worrying in none of them games we looked remotely like scoring !

Good appointment I don't personally think so but if he keeps us up is that acceptable when the league is dire .

Surely a bit of optimism and ambition wouldn't go amiss.

This is what I was talking about earlier. No offence to you, poster, but are people really so ****ing stupid? Relegation?! We still have the 4th best home record in the league, are 4 points outside the play-offs and have our best defender coming back in to contention. Yes, today was disappointing and our away form desperately needs sorting but, seriously, relegation?!

Bit of an over reaction on here, we weren't that bad by any means. The game should have finished 0-0 really.

 

However, we really need to improve going forward. We don't break on teams quick, which is needed away from home if we are going to set up negatively. Whilst also, when we do have an attack we are so predictable, slow and easy to defend against.

 

Kelly offered nothing on the left. For Coventry I'd try something different as much as I like Moore, our wingers aren't offering much at the minute. Try O'Connor Grant and Kelly in a midfield 3, Dodds in the hole, Uche and AJ up top. If Dodds is injured, play Moore in the hole and let him drift around.

 

Uche was poor but I feel he's a better threat from the start, rather than using him when we are chasing the game and lumping balls to him desperately.

 

Cut the errors out, change our mind set and be willing to go for it and we will be a decent team in this poor league. I thought the defence were decent today. However, with Page, I really can't see him having the attitude of 'going for it', away from home especially.

I would never ever wish an injury on any player but I think maybe Dodds' hamstring injury may force Page's hand, and we may see a little more of JJ on Whateverdayitis. (I presume you mean Foley rather than Kelly in the centre mid 3.)

We have conceded 15 away league goals. 11 have been in the second half.

 

We have kept 3 away clean sheets in Pages tenure.

Walsall and Notts County last season. Crewe this.

 

Now, after over a year in the job, to keep setting the side up the same every match, looking at those stats, is criminal.
