Smurf needs his head looking in to understand if there is any thought in there someone... I suspect it's located in his tongue! Coming home to read the NATIONAL press (and there are many of them reporting this!) talking about this subject and he wants to sell the club?!?!!

Well done Norman, for dragging the entire club and it's fans through the mud, and this stuff will stick for sometime!!! And for what? the very small minded minority.

I see now why you think it's too much for you running our club, I've forgiven your many previous blunders, but this one will take some forgiving tbh.

Too late, as massive damage done to OUR club!!!!!!

And Kick It Out's statement tonight means it will be all over the press again tomorrow bringing yet more shame and humiliation on the club. I don't think I've ever been as angry about anything to do with the Vale.

Frankly after the disgraceful events of this week, I'd rather have Bratt back as chairman than see Smurthwaite in the role another day longer. Not a penny more from me will be going into the club's coffers until he's gone.

Norman.

Now you have released your latest statement.

What happens if you do not get the price you are asking for the club? (Unlikely to get that price that you are asking due to your recent rants)

So assuming that you don't sell the club. Then how will you go about appeasing the many loyal fan's that you have now upset? How do you expect to regain their trust, faith, confidence?

How are you going to convince them to part with their money for a season ticket when they can expect to be blamed for anything that goes wrong?

Or is this statement a long winded attempt to pass the buck back onto the fan's again

I love how he basically has to explain how next seasons budget will work.

Its almost like "youre not having my money anymore so this is your only option"

It's typical passive aggressive behaviour. The fans want cheaper prices, he's given us what we want and next seasons budget will reflect that. The man needs help.

Maybe someone hacked his account when there were Smurf posts on OVF over the last few day's.I should have remembered about that.Oh well we go again,we are where we are.

I can only think he is doing all this to get publicity for the club and the subsequent sale - pretty vindictive way to do it though. Personally I'm not that bothered what he says just hope we get a new owner quick and preferably one who isn't on Twitter and doesn't have a taste for the media spotlight. Just feel sorry for those that have to try and work with him.

I don't really see much contrition in that statement, it is also quite condescending to the "poor" people of the area who can't afford to support the club and contains a veiled threat that if more of us don't buy season tickets the playing budget will be cut. Not to mention the spelling mistakes.

You can twist any part of it to find something to match how you feel but I (and I bet I'll get loads of stick for this) think that was ok.

A decent start.

I think he's sorry.

I think he's realised he's dropped a massive testicle.

I think he genuinely wants the club to be ok.

I think the idea that he's engineered all this so he can profit/ build houses/ whatever is far fetched.

I think he has caused damage to the club but he's now trying to do what's best.

I think, just as newspapers are supposed to give equal prominence to apologies as they are to initial incorrect stories, he should take active steps so that as many people here his apology as heard his original slurs.

I think we should lay off him for a bit and concentrate on getting behind the team on Saturday.
