Should we send the RAF to Syria?

Personally I'm not against bombing if the case is made for it and what will be done after it..I'm not against it in principle..I don't believe the case has been made

Cameron's terrorist symapthiser comment was despicable and could lose him much support..but not enough to change the vote

Didn't Cameron want to bomb Assad two years ago? Imagine if that had happened; another power vacuum created (as per Iraq) which would have allowed IS to gain a greater foothold in Syria.

Cameron has called Corbyn and others who don't believe in bombing, terrorist sympathiser. But when has dropping a bomb ever been right? When has dropping a bomb ever solved anything?

I can only see three things happening of parliament vote "yes"; a waste of money, a waste of resources and a waste of life!

No we don't...in this particular situation the people are not having a say in what decision is made..it is up to our elected parlimentarians..I am not saying that we should. We have the right and means to express our opinons but we ultimately will have no say

We could argue the point but it would detract from the thread

Ill timed comment by Cameron. It seems it's par for the course at the moment ,in all parties. Is bullying people ,who haven't made their minds up or are going to vote yes,by certain activists ,acceptable ,considering the recent bullying, although he has denied it,scandal and subsequent suicide of a young person?

Daesh need obliterating by whatever means.Russia can sort out Assad another day.

We occasionally get a true veiw of Cameron and last nights comments show the actual person we have as our prime minister and people try to demonise Putin who is ten times the man cameron will ever be in terms of honesty and integrity and leadership quality

Airstrikes are a complete waste of time. It is starting to transpire that many of the MP's debating today in the commons think this to be the case with repeated statements which include 'create a vacuum'. The concern seems to be that such action will instigate a huge proportion of the FSA to break away and rebel against the coalition forces..however this could be the problem in that Russia are siding with Assad and could create crossfire and total confusion of who's on who's side. This is potentially a mess in the making. We should keep the hell out.

You should stop reading main stream tabloids if you think Putin is honest.

This is the bloke who is sending spy planes over the UK and US, lining up war ships off the coast of Argentina, taking control of Ukraine and Syrian ports for his navy. Putin is a nut job who we should keep close to our sides, as the old saying goes, keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.

Russian spy planes mean nothing, certainly nothing more than NATO exercises in Estonia, Latvia, and other states with borders next to Russia, and it has been revealed that the US spies on Germany and many other of its so-called allies, almost definitely including Britain.

Remember that Gorbachov had an agreement with the US that NATO would not expand eastwards- its no surprise that Russia keeps its eye on NATO after the trouble NATO fermented in Ukraine too. Putin has shown great statesmanship in not retaliating against the terrorist Turks, if that had been an Israeli plane shot down Ankara and Istanbul would be dust and we would all be fleeing for the hills.

You may not like Putin, but he is more trustworthy than Cameron any day, and I don't think his agenda of wanting to protect Russia's borders from ever-increasing US and NATO expansion is anything negative at all.

So MPS should never vote on a war even if it's totally justified cos they wont be on the front line?

Military people should never vote for on war cos they will always want action?

Logically public opinion should be ignored as the vast majority will not be sent to fight or suffer the consequences

So basically we can never make a decision to get involved in conflict no matter how justified it is?? We just wave the white flag

That's not the case in this war though is it, JA?

I cans say that due to our governments antics in a socalled democracy I am thoroughly ashamed to be English and envy the Russians a proud nation with a proper leader who is rightly popular throughout his country something we can only dream off

You envy Russians? The people who's "news" is what the President decides that day? He's only popular because he manipulates the news to make him popular .They haven't a clue what the truth about anything is- ironically I can see why you'd fit in

Presumably to keep an eye on our base in Cyprus? I think we are as close to WW3 as we have ever been.

Protect Russia by increasing his already vast empire, taking control of naval bases and increasing the amount of militia they already have.

The spy planes were told to leave several times until jets were scrambled to escort them.
