So the 300 fans in the bycars move into the Hamil end ! To achieve what? Or are you saying that some of the paddock would also go in?

I would def, if I could get Nelly shift his ass from the Paddock. Lol.

The advantage over the Paddock is better accoustics and far better facilities, especially in the winter months when you could get food and have a beer at half time without having to get soaking wet.

Smurf was recently talking about putting a concourse in the Paddock. Well perhaps by getting more fans into the Hamil this wouldn't be needed, so a cost saving in the process.

IF the police did their jobs properly and NOT let the away fans enter the Hamil road then we wouldn't hardly have any problems. Also with the Police box been on the Hamil end, then that could be a reason they say no. And If a group of away fans wanted to get to the Vale fans on Hamil road from the Bycars, then im sure they'll find away. I personally think moving away fans to the Bycars will cause more trouble than not.

Im sure the police will listen to your advice. You should have told them how to police a football match at last nights SC meeting. They are NOT allowed to contain them.Read last nights report.Where the police box is makes no difference. There are camera's all over the stadium that can be watched from the police box.

I don't see how putting away fans in the Bycars would make policing any easier. Currently the coaches park right outside the away end which makes it easy for away fans to get to them. The ground beyond the Bycars end is open with several attack/escape routes around the Dimensions football pitches. Vale fans could perform a pincer movement from Railway and Lorne Street unless the Bycars was fenced off at either end on the outside. Quite a lot of Vale fans currently use Bycars Lane to get to and from the match and for parking. I admit the Bycars is a bit of a shed but at least we can see the scoreboard from there!

So if an away fan was to cause trouble and therefore need ejecting would it be sensible for them to be escorted from the Bycars to the complete other end of the pitch to the police box walking straight past all the home fans pitchside?

But how's it still going stop the fans mixing on Hamil Road after the game? The ones that don't travel on coach? The ones that want to have a ruck with the Vale fans? That's right, it wont.

I remember at the start of the 1993/94 promotion season, shortly after the roof from Sealand Road had been put up, that the club proposed giving the Hamil End to home fans as well as the Bycars and putting away fans in the Hamil side of Lorne Street as well as the small seating allocation in Block C of the Railway Stand. The Police and City Council at the time vetoed it.

I don't think moving away fans to the Bycars would make a great deal of difference, and it could even make one or two things worse. It would increase the potential for trouble around the dark corners of Bycars Lane, the back of the Co-op and the terraced streets and alleyways that lead to Scotia Road.

If they are being ejected (from the ground) then they could be put out of the ground at the Bycars end, if the police want to take them to their control box they could also leave via a Bycars exit and walk round behind the Railway stand and go to their police box - 100 yards extra won't kill them.

I would imagine most of the bycars Enders would move to the Hamil , but I think most of the paddock Hamil end singers would move to the paddock bycars side to simply sing to the away fans, I can not think of another ground I have visited where the home choir are in the side and not behind the goal

A large majority of visiting fans arrive by coach.Away fans cars could also be parked on the far end car park, behind the fence. This then gives more time for the other traffic to clear and for police to clear and people hanging around. The police stated last night that a lot of the trouble comes from people who have not been to the match hiding in the park, hiding in the bushes. When away fans come out of the Hamil road car park that when missiles are thrown at them.

What are your suggestions to stop the problem and save the club money on policing costs?

Or some would (maybe) move from the railway paddock to the Hamil.Better facilities.Food and drink undercover, not open to the weather, better toilets,TVs to watch at half time.Easy to get from / to Tommy before and after the match.Better acoustics.

Sounds fair enough,not to difficult.

So a fan would happily let the steward walk them up to the top of the stand and then they'll happily walk around a stand with the steward which is actually more than 100yds walk to come back in through another entrance with no resistance?
